BTW about the Ihsahn album, it's not really that black metal-ish, the new one has a lot of hard rock type songs and it also features Trivium singer Matt Heafy which I figured you might be into. Man I suck at choosing my guest vocalists, first the Soilwork singer I'm leaving out and now Trivium.. I should look into these picks a bit more before sending luckily this time I didn't send anything with guest vocalists.

When it comes to female vocals, I don't know, it's tough, they are fine in albums like The Human Equation and stuff like that.  I like Magali Luyten quite a bit, vocals like that are good.  But when it comes to sweet chick voices, it's pretty hit and miss with me.  Amanda Sommerville is probably an exception.  I guess I'm trying to say that female fronted stuff isn't really what I might be looking for here.

You're a smart bloke RJ, looks like my writeup portrayed my thinkings well.  I did love that song though and do want to have a look into them.  I guess heavy prog stuff wasn't what I was going into this for either, but stuff like The Road of Bones changes that, great song.

Yeah... the chorus in Enter Dreamscape is my favourite thing about the song, along with that acoustic intro. I thought the female vocals would be a problem, so I thought against sending this very song, even though I considered it.

Okay, Round 3, Faces of Stone, here we go. Expecting a 6, but for me this song is 11/10. My song of 2015 and up there in "song of the decade" competition. No regrets from me.
