Yes Survivor Interest?
« on: April 03, 2016, 02:48:59 AM »
So I've been thinking, since I'm currently going through the Yes discography for the first time (currently up to The Ladder), would there be an interest in me doing a Yes survivor once I've finished?

For context, this would include:
*all 19 of Yes'  studio albums
*the studio tracks off both Keys To Ascension albums
*the Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe album
ドリームシアターはあまり好きではありませんが、ペンと紙を持っていたので、なんてこった。

Voted "all the albums", but then I realized I'm only familiar with the 19 studio albums, not the Keys and AWBH stuff. Still, I'd love a Yes survivor.

I voted "may participate in a few albums." I'd participate in Fragile-Relayer, and I might get The Yes Album and Going for the One by then depending on when this happens, but certainly nothing beyond that.
And if spirit's a sign,
Then it's only a matter of time

Most but probably not all, depending on how much time and interest I have to hear and rank those few Yes albums that I haven't heard for a long time, because they aren't that good.
Must've been Kwyji sending all the wrong songs.   ;D

Is Open Your Eyes one of them?

Yes, it's one of them.

Time And A Word, The Keys studio material, Open Your Eyes, The Ladder, Magnification and Heaven & Earth are the ones I don't know by heart so I couldn't completely rank them without hearing them before.

I do remember really liking T&AW though. In fact, when I first heard it, I liked it better than The Yes Album (not now though).

It's not that I don't like all of them, there are some great tracks on all of them, they just didn't grab me enough to listen to them regularly over time.

Also, I can't even remember what Open Your Eyes' songs sound like even though I only heard it yesterday, so I don't blame you for not remembering it. :P
