:woot: Glad you liked the song! I'd be interested to know what you think of some of her other stuff, since that song's really the only one I like. :lol
Oh? So I may have to prepare myself for disappointment, then.

Lol... last roulette was 11 pages in total.  This is at 14 pages so far, and we haven't even officially started.

I'm SO glad Splent made it - he'd probably have rage-quit all roulette-ing if he'd gotten the boots in qualification again!

Yeah  not going to lie, I was genuinely worried. The fact that the song grow on him was lucky on my part. I sent that bad because I noticed he liked IQ…

I'm gonna play it safe the next round or two just so that I can get some sort of foothold before I risk anything again

Aww darn. Oh well, I'm busy as far as life goes right now so I don't mind too much (not to mention all this star business :lol). Maybe next time. I'm glad you enjoyed the bands I sent and are going to check them out. My personal fav for Rishloo is Feathergun. I'll still be following this  :tup
I feel strangely honored to be following up a post from Sir Walrus Cauliflower.

Pretty certain it's not me  ::). Anyway; I went with something more poppy/grungy, and I hope you'll like it.

Onya splent.  You realise by now of course that you're first roulette host wasn't that nasty after all , right?  ;D

Haha nope. I think I'm starting to grasp this roulette thing a bit more. I hope to do at least as good as I did with Tom Bombadil's (2nd)...

I haven't done enough of these to cockblock anyone. I need to research more. Truth be told this is the first one I'm actually "researching" and looking at past ones, listening to songs that he liked/didn't like, instead of just saying "Oh I did good here's the next one" :lol I guess so far it's paying off :lol

I'm also getting my roulette ready even though I'm still like 3rd on the list. I'm going back and forth on themes (whether to use them or not) and have NO idea how I'm going to score. Since it's my first I want to be creative and fair but not overly complicated... I'm also unsure if I want to do qualifying rounds... that just seems pointless (no offense to any who do it, you have a system, I have mine)... I'd rather just have eliminations at certain points and possibly increase round numbers to accommodate numbers.
I don’t know what to put here anymore

So did I  :lol we're already competing for the Pearl star then, if I understand the rules well enough.

And while one of you is getting pearl star, the others are getting some reduced bonus star points.

Did anyone else send something with multiple vocalists?

If anyone's getting the boot after three rounds, marking the most miserable, disappointing roulette performance in DTF history, it would probably be me. So I'm not really counting on the Pearl star :lol

sup, you'd have to steal that one from my performance in Bolsters' first roulette and good luck with that one  :lol

one question regarding the bonus stars: Can we send more then one song for the same category, and in the end you end up counting the better one? and what happens if I send songs for more than 3 stars?

(Yes, I realise those were actually kind of 2 questions)

I would like to know as well because like a couple of people in this roulette I intend on sending at least one song that fits within each category.

No. Whichever song was awarded the star "keeps" the star. Even if you send another song for that category that is better, the star will stay attached to the first song. However if you for example have two songs in mind that could fit the ruby star you don't have to send whichever you think is better first - I'll only give you the star when you explicitly ask for it.

You choose when you receive the bonuses and for which songs, so it's up to you to choose wisely.

and what happens if I send songs for more than 3 stars?
Nothing, they will just be considered to be normal songs because you already have 3 bonus stars.

Kind of complicated, I know, but I quite like the star idea. Interesting set up.

My only question for now: I know that the stars point values are going to shift as we continue, but for starters at least--how does the scoring for the Bronze (I think it was??)/Begrudging star work? Is that meant to be like half as many points as a Gold or Silver?

I'll send within the hour.

It's worth "less". :P What I will say however is that those first five stars are all listed in order of most valuable to least valuable, so of those five stars, bronze is worth the least number of points.

After looking more carefully at what I was sent, I've asked one person to resubmit. So, we're back to one. :lol
