Welcome back, it's time for The Bolsters™ Roulette, v2!

This time I'm not restricting the number of participants and so everyone is welcome. The main competition will consist of 10 people, however if the number of interested parties is 11 or more there will be some qualifying rounds at the beginning to determine which 10 people make it through. If I'm not popular enough to get more than 10 people (very likely ), there will be no qualifying rounds.

I think I'll sit this one out.  After getting 14 points in the first two rounds of your last roulette, I only got a total of 3 points in the final 5 rounds.  And those 3 points came in the last round after I had given up and sent you 6 songs to choose from.

I'll have a go.............try not to make it too complicated for us fogeys to understand    I see a Bolsters roulette as almost the ultimate challenge - I have very little idea on distilling your breadth of taste down to a strategy , other than perhaps "go for stuff that's different"      It might come down to a synth pop battle between me and Chad .

I'm quite conflicted on this.  On the one hand, we've got a lot of compatibility in our tastes ... "SUPER" according to last.fm, and you did very well getting all the way to the finals in my 2nd Roulette.  On the other hand, when I look at some of the music you listen to recently, the bands  at the top of your last.fm stats, and what you sent after stumbling in my 3rd Roulette - man that was outside of my box - ... that suggests we are not a match.

You've got likely the most eclectic and wide ranging tastes here at DTF - it's like your a sheep in wolf's clothing - but which genres are the sheep, and which are the wolf.  Are you a prog/metal head, or do you lean towards pop/core/post?

So, I think I'm gonna accept, and fire with both barrels loaded full of prog and metal glory   Then we'll see if that's to your liking, or if it's the stuff that Parama, Sacul, Tyrias, etc  have on that end of the musical spectrum will be more to your tastes.

The rules for the main competition won't be revealed until it actually starts, but I have some information for everyone before you start sending songs for the qualifier rounds which I will probably post later today.

Well as you mention I have a wide range of tastes, and trying to hit on all of them might have been your mistake in my first roulette. But some of my favourite albums last year were Kingdom of Rock and Dracula: Swing of Death, and my favourite so far this year is Ghostlights. So it's not like my more recent foray into synths and pop has pushed out or taken over my love for rock and metal. I have plenty of gaps you could attempt to fill if you find them.

Also Last.fm's compatability is a joke anyway, it says I have 98% compatability with Sacul.

I'm not taking the piss out of you, I'm taking the piss out of Last.fm. There's some crossover which is apparent by you sending some good stuff in my roulette and my recent success yours, but we are not musically 98% compatible in any universe.
