I think I have multiple songs that can fit under any of the bonuses. So... Idk what to do.

I have several possibilities. The more I review my playlists and music, the better I feel about this roulette. But I don't want to get ahead of myself. Last time I felt this way Sacul threw a monkey wrench at me.

Sorry Sacul. You tarnished my feelings about roulettes forever.
I don’t know what to put here anymore

Well, sent. Everyone want to post what they sent or nah?

Also I know the anticipation of knowing who sent what is a big part of the fun of the roulette for some, so if there's anyone who would actually rather us not say what we sent, I get that.

Okay cool. Sorry I forgot that was a thing in this roulette. After that, do you mind?

Larry and his Flask were my fail  :lol

With no knowledge of Bolsters tastes other than the fact he likes Taylor Swift and The Black Mages I sent a song I love regardless.

It was a very unwise choice as it didn't get me far. They are one of the best live bands I have ever seen though. They brought an energy to the stage unlike any other. It's not often you have a band where all 6 members are drawing your eye to them on stage and playing with passion and energy.........so much energy it was infectious.

For a start the drummer played the whole show stood up and the double bass player was throwing shapes with said double bass like it was inflatable or something. He was playing the thing in the pit for a good portion of the show!! Bloody incredible band. Don't think many of you guys would really appreciate them though.

I just listened to the song you sent.

It's fun, but I think it's completely fair to say it has a big chance of losing to the other songs on here. I have a handful of these kind of songs (not this genre, but kind of the same fun feel) but never use them in roulettes. As a host I think this kind of thing is just very hard to rate, how do you compare this song to Caligula's Horse? I could definintely see myself really liking this but it would never win a round, you know, it's hard to explain the reasoning behind it.

But in the end, I sent hard rock thinking it would be alright, and it ended up not getting me very far either  :lol assuming I need a miracle to make it past the second Q.

Here is an example of them live, I personally love the energy. When I saw them they were supporting Frank Turner, I love it when a support band can get you involved and invested when you know none of their songs. Sign of a great band in my opinion.

I personally don't find it that hard to rate songs like these compared to others. I just rate on how much I enjoy them for what they're supposed to achieve, so you could get a high grade from me with a Symphonic Metal, Post Rock, Synth Pop or Folk song (just to give a few examples), as long as they achieve what they set out to do (and I have to like that thing as well, sending a Noise track is probably not gonna end all that well).

Regarding Larry and His Flask, I think I'd enjoy the hell out of them live but they don't do that much for me as a studio band. Might just be my current mood, it's afternoon here and I usually hate music in general for a few hours after lunch :lol.

To be fair if I received Larry and his Flask (without ever hearing them) and Caligula's Horse in a roulette I would go for Caligula's Horse everytime I think. I know I'm biased towards LahF as their live performance made me fall in love with them (which you obviously don't get from a studio rendition of a song). I really should have done my homework if I wanted to progress in this roulette lol.

I was listening to it at the time I decided to enter the roulette and as a knee jerk reaction just thought "Larry and his Flask are amazing, everyone will love this, I'm going to win the roulette!!!!!"

Hindsight is a bitch and all that  :loser:

Basically I think you are spot on. Live they are amazing, unfortunately I let my personal experience seeing this band live get in the way of looking at the song objectively through the eyes (or ears) of someone who has no prior knowledge of this band. You live and learn  :lol

Pretty sure I see Evergrey - though I'll be damned to figure out what song it is with "of the"  Either way...   >:(  Probably Kade or Ruslan there that cockblocked me.  I was counting on using them.

I already know what Brent sent, and he knows mine - Kade might be able to pick mine out.

I sent Rishloo - Just A Ride. It was between that, Romance of a Dead Kingdom, or Scissorlips. I couldn't decide if I wanted to use Rishloo in the qualifier but I figured it won't matter what I can still send if I get eliminated.
I feel strangely honored to be following up a post from Sir Walrus Cauliflower.
