I'd do what you did, but I only have about 15 songs as files. If I can be bothered I could try to make a Youtube playlist aswell, but I doubt everything would be on there.

And interesting that Dimension Act made the 'check-it-out' list without earning even a pink.
Well there were three things that detracted from that song for me: Overlong medley intro, excessive amount of instrumental sections, fadeout at the end. I liked what was going on in the song for the mostpart and I figured the other songs on the album might not have these shortcomings, so I added it.

There's only 3 other songs on the album, and some of the themes persist.  Worth checking out (imo)

Also, the next few days I will be working on some "best-of" spotify playlists for those interested in that sort of thing. I'll post them once they're done.

I'll do so, as long as theres a "non sacul/parama" or  :metal playlist.

I briefly considered making two playlists like that actually, but I'm not going to. You'll just have to hit the skip button if your curiosity isn't piqued by a track. The two playlists will be called Diamond and Gold and rather predictably they will contain my 50 favourite songs of the roulette; 1-25 in Diamond and 26-50 in Gold. So people who just want to hear the top 25 can do that and if anyone actually cares about the next 25 there's a second playlist for them.

I will be attempting to sort the songs in a way that makes the playlists flow, but I'm not sure how well that will work out given the range of styles I received, so I will probably give up. But I will try it out.

Nah, don't bother. Just posting my thoughts here.

Glad all of my entries ended up in the list to check. You've mostly got the right albums, I think these will be most suited to your tastes except Deep Purple (I think you will appreciate something of their later, 70s Gillan-fronted catalogue more, but their s/t was my #11 album of all time, so yeah, check it out), Phideaux (I think Number Seven is a better album overall and certainly much more eclectic too - don't give up on Phideaux if you don't like Doomsday Afternoon), and perhaps Blackmore's Night (try The Secret Voyage if you aren't too fond of Village Lanterne, though I've got to say, Village Lanterne is awesome too).

And interesting that Dimension Act made the 'check-it-out' list without earning even a pink.
Well there were three things that detracted from that song for me: Overlong medley intro, excessive amount of instrumental sections, fadeout at the end. Fixed that for me.

Everything I checked from this roulette so far was in my taste so I should check the rest when I find some time. In terms of music, this was the best roulette I participated in.

So, I think I'm gonna accept, and fire with both barrels loaded full of prog and metal glory :2metal:  Then we'll see if that's to your liking, or if it's the stuff that Parama, Sacul, Tyrias, etc  have on that end of the musical spectrum will be more to your tastes.

Alright, here's the Diamond playlist. I was going to wait until I had both ready but it'll probably be a few days before Gold is done, and most (all?) of you probably only care about the Diamond playlist anyway.

I have attempted to order the tracks as best I could so that they flow reasonably well, it works in some places but not others.

I don't know how to find things that aren't available in my region. I've seen albums with blackened playlists before if I follow a link, but things like that (understandably) don't show up in search results.

This just shows how damn inconsistent I was :lol last place but still got 3 of my songs to be good enough for the diamond playlist, cool. I may give this a spin soon, quite a few songs I don't know here.

No shock there, the only way for that to happen is if you include Novembre - Verne which was #9 of the round :lol not counting Exodus since including a 19 minute song in a playlist like this is a bit ridiculous.

I forgot about Exodus actually, it has a decent chance of being added, I'm not sure yet. I've got about 41 songs I have to narrow down to 25 at the moment, some will be easy to dismiss but others not so much. I'm not worried about songs lengths at all - I've already shared one two-hour playist and I've got another of similar length in the works...I doubt anyone who's actually bothering to listen to both of these will care about another 15 minutes or so. :lol
