I couldn't find 10 songs which deserve to be in top ten... but I choose four, A Gift Of Music, A Better Life, A New Beginning and Our New World.

I came up with 9 in track order.  Bolded the one's I like most.  As I've said before, this album does have it's moments.  But, for an album that long, there just aren't enough of them for me.  Overall, still disappointing.

Controversial opinion:  I did not select Three Days in my top 10.  I like it, but it just missed the cut.

Right now the general consensus seems to be that Three Days is the the favorite song from TA. It has gotten the most votes here, and is the only song so far that has gotten ZERO votes on the "most hated" poll.

Three Days didn't even come close to making my list.

That's it, there isn't another song that I like enough to add. The Gift of Music is really the only song from the album that I revisit regularly and it'd definitely make my DT top 50, the "My brother, Gabriel" part alone is enough to propel it there. It's kind of disappointing when the early release single turns out to be by far the best song on the album.

So here it is, this is the way I like to listen to this record.  I still listen to the songs Act Of Faythe and Our New World but I listen to them out of the context of the actual album.

I think that the album is too repetitive to listen to in it's entirety.  But since I really liked the majority of the songs, I found a unique way to listen to it and be completely satisfied with it.

So once again, sorry for this long reply but THIS album is very UNIQUE and it needs time (I think) to truly appreciate.

I understand your point and you know, I didn't realized that fact.  I've read the Astonishing lyrics here and there but I've mainly listened to the music without reading it.  Maybe one day I'll appreciate it as a whole but for now I can only appreciate it the way I described it ealier.
