Not against a specific movie, but there are two movies tropes I'm very sick of:
- Sex scenes. The woman is a wonderful wild beast of desire, she makes love like she's a pro, but comes moring she becomes a prude and she covers her chest with the sheets... in every damn movie since the invention of cinema.
Look, I completely understand that not every movie can be a porn, or an adult oriented one. I'm fine with actors not showing their nudity. But really, in all these decades no one was ever able to come up with another way to not show nudity than "Hey I let you bang my brains out but now all of a sudden I feel ashamed to show you my body and I will cover completely with the sheets"
just cut the sex scene altogether, there are ways to let the audience know a couple had sex without having to show them in bed.
- People starting to talk "exotic" languages for no absolutely darn reason at all.
Peter Jackson is the worst offender of this. Elves talk to themselves in english, and then they stick a single word of elvish here and there. There's a movie set in Japan? you can bet your ass the japanese characters speak english, but at the beginning or the end they say a word or a sentence in japanese.
WHY, WHY, WHYYYYYY??!??!?!?! who ever in the entire history of mankind talked like that? I'm italian, it's like if I would say at the end of a dinner at the restaurant "Bene ragazzi, la cena è stata molto buona. Now let's go home" *. WHO DOES THAT? absolutely nobody. But in movies this happen. Please stop it.
*translation is: "Ok guys, dinner was very good".
