I was happily invited to a pre screen of this last night. I was a bit nervous about it even though I am a HUGE Jon Favreu fan. Let me say it is an amazing movie. Groundbreaking visually and a great take on The Jungle Book like never before.

It is a great movie. It was not a final cut, so I think even the final will be even better. Fun movie. and a good one that may surprise a lot of people with how much of a quality film it is. It stays true to the book( one of my fave books) a bit and to the animated movie. Lets forget about that disaster Jungle Book movie from a few years ago.

I am expecting good things.  The story is a classic, and the talent involved in this is considerable.

Do you think it's appropriate for fairly mature 8 and 9 year old boys?

We've seen the trailer and it appears to be appropriate...just some action and maybe some suspenseful scenes....right?

For sure. It is age appropriate for them. I have twin 9 year old boys and I would let them see it.

Finally got a chance to see this movie tonight, and I have to say it was tremendous. Everything I could have hoped for and more.
