Great article by Peter King about the new movie about Steve Gleason and his battle with ALS. I teared up just reading the article, I'm sure I'd be a bawling mess by the end of the film.

Yeah, I've been waiting for this one.  I too will be a sniveling wreck more than likely.

A guy who played linebacker at Penn State who I met since we had a golf class together while at PSU (Yes, I was required to take gym classes so I took a class on golf), Tim Shaw, was drafted and played in the NFL for a few years.  He was diagnosed with ALS.  I follow him on facebook and his journey.  So sad.  The guy was huge and ripped and tackling guys in the NFL, now he has shrunk and from following him, I can tell he is starting to struggle.  He posted a video of him swinging a golf club and it was sooo sad especially considering that is how I met him.  He was able to drive the ball 400 yards, much further than our PGA instructor and that video was so different.   :(

Good for the Jets.  It's about time.  They will be in the same boat next year though unless Geno or Hackenburg end up getting playing time and shining this year.

Oh thank god!!! The Jets now have their starter at the game's most important position one day before training camp starts. This should improve their odds for the season especially with Brady's four game suspension.

Jets had to do it. No point in having all of those skill position players (Marshall, Decker, Forte) if you are going to roll out of a bum at QB.  Fitzpatrick is no stud, but he is good enough for them to contend for a playoff spot with.

Normally I really don't care about the preseason games too much.  This year is completely different!!  I would not be shocked if the coliseum is stuffed for the preseason week 1 opener against Dallas.

I felt the exact same way about the 1996 preseason. Was elated to see NFL football (back) in Baltimore.

You blame the dopes that run the stadium for mucking the thing up. Then you blame Troy Vincent for having to cancel the game hours before it started. League operations should have known there was an issue before today and should have made sure it was resolved. I'd bet the NFL could have the entire surface ripped up and replaced on 18 hours notice.
Argument, the presentation of reasonable views, never makes headway against conviction, and conviction takes no part in argument because it knows.

You'd think they'd test the new field paint before the first pre season game.

Not the first preseason game to be cancelled due to poor field conditions, but yeah, a multi-billion dollar industry should be able to do much better.

Yeah, that sucked about the game last night.

Looking forward to the Panthers first pre-season game Thursday night.

The GOAT.

Imagine if he played nowadays with the passing numbers teams put up.  He would have a realistic shot at 2,500 yards and 25 touchdowns.

Clutch.  When you needed that catch, that 8 yards that touchdown, he did it.

Looks like an ESPN poll of 42 coaches, scouts, and coordinators have Big Ben as the #3 QB behind Brady and Rodgers. Too bad they don't know football like all the experts at DTF. :P

Those coaches, scouts and coordinators are wrong a lot, as shown by how often they miss when it comes to the draft every year.  This is just another example of them being wrong.
