I'm one listen in and we might have another 10/10 here. It's too early to judge now, but I loved one of the songs so much.

And overall, this seems like a magnificent round. Might be the strongest yet.

Big call after one listen.

In fact, I felt that way about three more songs during this roulette - Redemption, W.A.S.P. and The Dead Lord ones. Out of those, only W.A.S.P. ended up getting 10/10, so nothing is certain at this point.

I'm still waiting for Mason to send, but I'm listening to your songs here and there, so the round is underway.

Edit: I've sent a PM to Mason, so we're waiting for his song and then I'll post the blurred picture. Still, I'm listening to the rest of the songs, so I'll try my best to make the delay as short as possible.

Hey look on the bright side. At least we're not waiting on him to score a round.

Well, he did send his song today but he used the band that earned him 9.5 in my first roulette so I had to reject the song.

Anyway, I'll post the first picture this evening, regardless of getting the last song.

I bet no one will be able to guess my song from the blurred picture

Well, having four different banned lists is kind of annoying, I don't see why the first three couldn't have been combined into one.  I understand the why keeping the newly banned as a separate list is helpful though.  Resent.

I just use ctr+F, no need for checking the lists seperately ;)

I wanted people to know how I reacted to the bands they sent me a year ago, which ones stayed in my regular rotation and which ones I didn't find too great, this kind of thing, hence the two additional short lists. I can see how it can be annoying though. I guess I just recommend using Ctrl+F too.

You're right... just search in the url bar, and it gives you an option to "find on this page".

iPhone tricks 101.

I was just about to ask if there's no "find on the page" function at all. :lol

So, here's the update. First, have this blurred pic. I tried not to give everything away from the very first pic like someone in the parallel roulette did ::) , not sure if I succeeded though. You decide!

Now, the 10/10 song from the first listen lost its appeal a bit, and now I'd say it's a solid 9.5. Still a fantastic song though.

And regarding the pace, the second picture (if needed) is going up tomorrow, tidbits are scheduled on Wednesday and I hope to deliver the results at Thursday.

to be fair there's a small handful of obscure oceansize songs I'm not familiar with but I don't think any of their names match either

Looks like Vision Divine too. Lots of bands being scratched off the list this round . . .
Winger would be better!

No, Teramaze.  I was conteplating sending that fuckin song - just listened to it this morning actually.  Wouldn't surprise me if it's the 9.5 song.

I think I recognise Pyramaze and Edenbridge, though I can't confirm or say which songs without looking at Spotify. And others give me that feeling of "hey, this seems familiar, but I can't exactly say from what". So yeah, I am expecting this to be quite the cockblock round, though it remains to be seen if that will matter for me :p

Edit: oh, Tyramaze, never heard of them  ;D

Actually I did receive Pyramaze for this round, but I had to reject the song because it was Back for More from their latest album Disciples of the Sun, and I know that one.

Edenbridge - The Bonding.

Just curious, I put Pyramaze on my "consider if artist list runs thin" reserve list (not too familiar with all their work, so don't know their best songs), do you like them?

I know them primarily because Matt Barlow did an album with them and he is simply awesome  (of Iced Earth fame, the guy who sung Dracula from your last roulette). I recall liking Immortal (the one with Barlow) and the Bone Collector, but haven't listened to them for quite a while.

Vision Divine - Mermaids from Their Moons

And, edit, I think I see Consortium Project - Enemy Within.

And possibly Prospekt - The Great Awakening.

Ah, well, I am going to give that one a try then  ;D

Damn, I actually really needed that 10 to get back into the competition for finals, I guess a 9.5 is alright too though.

Oh and I recognize nothibg except for Teramaze which I really thought would be banned  :-\

It's good to hear his voice on Beyond the Gates.  IMO Jociam is pretty wasted these days in Hammerfall, he should do some other stuff, and BTG shows that.
