The Witcher 3 is my favourite game ever. I finished the main story a month ago, went back and read all the books (which are fantastic by the way, at least if your translation is good. I've heard the English translation is unfortunately not that well done. German one is really good, though.) Now I'm replaying the whole game series and it's amazing how many small details and references there are to the books. Also, this is the only game (and one of very few things ever) that gave me chills for 2 hours straight and made me tear up so that I could hardly read my dialogue options at one particular moment (which was pretty sucky, since it was a timed dialogue :'(). Such fantastic characters, so much great content, no filler, amazing graphics, really good gameplay at least in my opinion) and a great story to add to that. You can feel the developers really cared about making this as good as possible.

Didn't play much gwent, though. But I will in my second playthrough.

Also, I recognize none of these bands or songs, and my guess is that won't change as the full names are revealed. :P

My song is the shortest one on that list.

I royally fucked up in my first gwent game. :lol

I've picked the English sound and English subtitles - I watched the intro both with original voice-over and Russian translation, and they screwed up alright: when the guy says "Nigh is the Time of the Sword and Axe" they translated it as if he said "Night is the time...", so I instantly decided on English language for the whole game. And, well, apparently I didn't read the gwent game desciprtion thoroughly enough, because I used all my cards in the first round and won, and then the second round started and I was sitting there with no cards.

I also royally screwed up and didn't understand why I lost at all  :lol I only started doing gwent later in the game and every now and then did an evening playing just that. There are some (main) quests that have moments where you can play a unique gwent match, but it is never mandatory.

Man, thinking back, this game is absolutely massive and has it all, but I won't spoil anything offcourse. One word of advice though, do play all sidequests tied to the main characters/quests/old friends, as many of those are significantly tied to the story and may affect the outcome in major ways. Most of those by no means feel like simple side stuff though, so it won't drag.

I did the same thing.  I think the game wants you to lose the first game that way, because you are never going to forget that rule again after that.

I've played my first game even before I met Yennefer. (except from that tutorial dream from the beginning, obviously)
This first band is Soen very cool swingy jazz fusion kinda stuff.

I think I've played 3 or 4 games.  Lost them all except the very first intro/learning one.  Haven't made this a part of my gaming experience at all.  No big thing.  Just a few side quests that I'm not doing.

I recognize mine, the second one (invariably sent by Kade), and the last one - probably sent by Seneca.

Pretty certain mines the third one.

Ruslan, did my second link eventually work for you?

tbh for my next roulette i've been thinking of just putting every song in a google doc (without saying who sent what) and writing my first impressions in the doc while i listen along but i dunno if that'd kill suspense too much  :lol

I think it's more fun if we know what other people sent, and then we can stew and second guess ourselves

Fucking brilliant idea.

I was actually thinking of doing this for my roulette.  Just posting straight up all the songs that were sent, not who sent them though.

Yeah, in retrospect I realize that the 2nd one is more likely to be Brent's

Okay, I've started to pay a little more attention to the picture and I figured out a couple of words, pretty sure this is the 5th song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jL8NY-Rs1Ws

So props to whoever sent it, you really blew it out of the park with this one.

I figure that Chad sent the DGM track. I had considered them for the next open round. Also, that is a great My Soliloquy track. They were on my short list for this roulette.

Figure either Kade or Brent sent Beyond The Black.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related

I thought it was Beyond the Bridge.  I've never heard Beyond the Black at all.

I've heard a couple of DGM songs and liked what I heard.  That's a band I need to check out further.

The bottom one is Chad, because it is The Consortium Project.

Lots of good competition this round.

The next to last one is My Soliloquy - Flashpoint.  I think most of the rest have been identified.

You missed it because it's wrong  ;D   I'll say the bottom one is seneca with The Paralydium project - New Frontier.   Odd Dimension is in there too.

And the second bottom is Tim with Flashdance.

And I spent half of yesterday listening to DGM to pick a track for the roulette  ::)   IMHO they're very up and down with the quality of their stuff - I could get a real nice compilation out of all of their albums .  When they nail it though they're great.

No need.....your roulette is one that I am pretty much set for with roughly zero chance of being cock blocked on anything.   This one........plenty of that going to happen but to some extent I appreciate some choices being taken out of my hands  :lol

I'm very surprised that I wasn't cockblocked by someone here. Still plenty of opportunity for that though, I suppose.
