On the second day of our survivor, we begin eliminating songs from Killers, Iron Maiden's second studio album, their first with guitarist Adrian Smith, and their last with Paul Di'Anno. It seems that Killers was a well-loved album during the 1980s and still stands in high regard among 80s metal releases. This album brought us several Maiden classics, including the title track and Wrathchild, as well as two of the band's four instrumentals in The Ides of March and Genghis Khan.

How will the songs from this album fare in our survivor? Let's get this started and find out!

____________

My decision for my first vote is between Twilight Zone (which only appeared on some versions of the album) and the mostly-acoustic track, Prodigal Son. Neither song is remarkably good or bad, but Twilight Zone is a decently punchy little rocker, while I have to say that the ballad here is longer than it needed to be.

Prodigal Son

The guitar solos on Prodigal make it an easy keeper.

Twilight Zone.
Argument, the presentation of reasonable views, never makes headway against conviction, and conviction takes no part in argument because it knows.

Gotta be Twilight Zone.  Was never on all the original versions anyway.
Everyone else, except Wolfking is wrong.

I like Twilight Zone, I vote against that mongolian invader instead.
I use my sig to pimp some bands from Italy! Check out Elvenking (Power / Folk metal), Folkstone (Rock / Medieval metal), Arcana Opera (Gothic/Noir/Heavy metal) and the beautiful voice of Elisa!

people on this board are actual music fans who developed taste in music and not casual listeners who are following current fashion trends and listening to only current commercial hits.

Yeah, as I understand it, like Sanctuary, it was only on some of the original releases.
