Alright, let's get this show on the road! We begin with Iron Maiden's self-titled debut from 1980. One of two Maiden albums with vocalist Paul Di'Anno and the only one with guitarist Dennis Stratton, this is the one that got everything started. Though the production is, by Steve Harris's own admission, not the best, and the band's sound is less polished than it is on their later releases, few would deny that this was a seminal heavy metal album. Even at this early stage, Maiden demonstrated a great deal of range, varying between rockers like Prowler and Running Free and softer songs like Remember Tomorrow and Strange World. And in Phantom of the Opera,
Iron Maiden produced the first iteration of the Maiden epic.
How will the songs from this album fare in our survivor? Let's get this started and find out!

I'm going to have to come after poor Charlotte in the first round. I think hers is the weakest song here. I suspect some of you are going to come right after the title track, which I think is valid, but it's such a live staple that I can't vote for it first.
