What are these called?
« on: August 17, 2009, 07:08:33 AM »
The small 'peg' type things that go into the bottom of my Acoustic guitar to hold the strings in the body.

I snapped one while changing the strings yesterday and don't know what they're called to search for some new ones.

Any help appreciated. Cheers

According to my two minute google search, either bridge pins or string pegs.
Only King could mis-spell a LETTER.
Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

Yep.

I've always wanted to get brass ones for my Fretless steel-string acoustic.

Cheers guys. Didn't think goolgling 'those little white pegs that hold my acoustic strings in' would have brought up many results. Just found out they do many different type though, is there really a difference between synthetic/brass ones? Don't fancy paying £30+ (GBP) for them when the plastic ones are like £1.

I have no idea. They probably wouldn't make a giant difference, but it'd be nice to see what they'd do.

£30??

These are about $15:

They sure do look nice, though.

I think £30 is around $45.

On a similar note, did you know the small plastic sheath on the end of shoelaces is called an Aglet?
on par with the anguish one would have from getting unconsensually bent over and buttloved.
