Memories so thick you have to brush them from your face...damn man...

My personal fave is the Scenes from my memory, holy shit could that dude write. Just perfect humor.\

Forgot all about Clinks, I was lucky enough to have the day off and was following that one closely, was pretty much in tears for an hour.

And a personal one that only a few of us involved and Nick would remember(cause he's the one we pissed off with it  :lol ) was in the chat thread, and was a beyond massive quote pyramid of sexual positions. Holy shit that was a hoot.

Ohhh that quote pyramid. That was fantastic. I think that was when group mod started really taking that shit seriously. Like SRSBZNSS. I can't recall that insanity ever happening before that. At least not nearly to that extent. That broke some shit.  :lol

I gotta say.

I'm really enjoying this nostalgic circle jerk we got goin' on. It's like the memories are our lube.

Indeed it was.  That's why I listed Janet1234 as my first 'best thing'.

Ok I'm lost.

I've been on DTF for over 10 years and I have no idea what the hell anyone is talking about! :lol

There was a member for a while named Janet1234 (or something like that) who people naturally assumed was a girl.  This was supported by the use of pink lettering and -- pardon my sexism -- the general writing style.  There was no question in my mind that Janet was a girl; it all fit.

One time Janet and Hef got into it, and Janet finally said "I AM A GUY!!"

to which Hef replied "You're a stupid fucking BITCH!"

It was silly.

From the FAQ: https://www.dreamtheaterforums.org/boards/index.php?topic=6251.0

Quote
Q:  What is Vlasto Day?
A:  Any day can be declared Vlasto Day; it is an ever-present holiday, and it is called upon to brighten dark days, break the silence, or simply to spread general good times and happy feelings. Vlasto Day is something we've had forever as far as I can remember, and that goes back to December of 2003. The reason why Vlasto Day started is unimportant, but what is important is when someone wants to celebrate Vlasto Day we meet it with good vibes and combined celebration, a coming together for the sake of coming together.  Along with 4/1 and the DTF Forum Birthday (5/18), it is considered an important forum holiday.

The time Mike portnoy called Petfish Petdick

I thought that happened on MP.com, not at DTF.org/DT.net. I could be wrong though, I've slept since then.

Anyhoo, to the original question by Dark_Lol...

The phrase "the best them"
MS Paint to get the new DT record threads (serious comedy gold)
I forget the title but the DTF Movie thread where we were writing scenes and casting who would play us... GOLD. :lol
Everyone's wickedly funny sense of humor (I'd name names, but fuck it - you're all evil geniuses)
KevShmev's 70s/80s Song of the Day threads (I didn't even know Jaq had rage quit :'( )

And recently - Cone and whahibrido pickingant. :rollin

Thank you so much for bringing that one up, and making me dig thru and find that.  I just read it, and my stomach is so sore!  I'd forgotten about it.

Hef/Bosk/Nick... someone's gotta archive that thing so it's not lost.  That was absolute gold.
