Is he the one that had the issue with the rape scenes in GoT?

Yeah.

Still pisses me off sometimes when I think about how he left.

That wasn't even that bad of a scene. The van rape scene in Orange is the New Black and the stairwell rape in the Sapranos were wayyyy worse.

I miss Jaq quite a bit.

He and I were of an age and saw eye-to-eye on a lot of things. I've never completely understood the "rage quit"...for certain I completely understand the frustration and anguish of his personal situation: I too have to live with the same challenge, but, intellectually it was out of character for him. While some folks were defending the writers of GoT choices, I didn't see anyone actually applauding the act. I wonder if there was some other reason he needed to be away from here and used that as an excuse.

Is he the one that had the issue with the rape scenes in GoT?

Uhm, dudes....I'm Pretty sure Jaq is/was a dudette....

Also, didn't Jaq have epic stories of his musical/chick escapades or am I thinking of someone else not named Orbert?

Username Jaq is definitely a dude.

Yeah, he did. He associated quite a few 70's rock songs with teenaged sexual misadventures.

For sure... his tales in KevShmev's 70s and 80s music threads were gold!

There was that time I collected signatures and well wishes and surprise delivered it to Hefdaddy on his actual birthday.

Then people copycatted me and didn't started settling for just close to birthdays.

And by "people", you mean me.  Bite it  :P.  I gave Joe's on his actual birthday.  And I can't help it that traveling across the continent only lined up 2 days before RJs.  Close fucking enough.

There's also that awesome tradition started by someone around here of flipping the bird at the DTF community when there's a meetup.  Who started and copy-catted that?    ;D

For some reason, I was going through my daily responsibilities until 'Progger...can't spell?  :omg: ' came to my mind. Good times, I tell you.

I loved that.  And the whole follow-up sequence of "Mike Portnoy...Jewish?" that led to Borlag zeroing my post-count was epic.  :lol

On a personal note, the hefdaddy facts were pretty fun.

I LOVED those.

Some others I will add:
The Pirate Ship thread on DTF.com before the split was pretty amazing too.
TransImperial April Fools (as well as some of the other 4/1 pranks)
The MSPaint new DT release series of threads
The MSPaint/Photoshop DTF members

Lots of other great moments captured in the archives subforum as well.

Seems like it WAS still available until relatively recently.

I think that a software update made it unusable or something like that.
