Funny thing is, none of the buildup songs is post-rock  :lol

Well this is pretty nice and chill, I like the unconventional instrumentation. My complaint is that it drags, really.

Probably mine.
No, it's mine.

I guess mine is about badass or about non-unique metal. Anyway, I'm ready for my 3 points.
This first band is Soen very cool swingy jazz fusion kinda stuff.

There's about 5 that could be mine and 4 of those are negative as shit   :lol My guess is mine will be the "Maybe had I been born in the [decade], I would have loved this song"

Yea I'll probably not send old songs anymore after this, seems pretty risky with you.

I guess mine is one of the write-ups about the build-ups, but it could be almost anything (except the metal or cover one I guess.)

No I didn't.

I don't think Sacul would've reacted well to "when death comes knocking" repeated a billion times or to a nine minute epic, so I sent my third favourite song from it. :P

First thing I notice, these guys, despite their influences, have a personal sound, and I always appreciate that.... The best chorus of the round, and maybe of the roulette? It's just excellent.

It's pretty badass, yes, but, well... this kind of thing it's not for me.

Honestly, I have never given [band] a fair chance. And this is better than expected.

This is the kind of buildup I like, where something new appears every several bars, so the song keeps evolving and it never gets boring.

This is the kind of music I've heard quite a lot on radios, as in a very similar vein, and had never intrigued me. This, on the other, is very well written.

This is a song that, despite having listened to it several times, I can't remember a single thing from it, besides the beginning. It's nice, but nothing too special tbh.

These all could be mine.

Which means either you like it or you don't.

Big help there

  • Sound is the factor which holds it together

My problem is, the more I go back in time, the less I'm likely to find pieces I relate to. Maybe had I been born in the [decade], I would have loved this song.

Honestly, I have never given [band] a fair chance. And this is better than expected.

I think one of these two is about the song I sent.

Fair to Midland - Inter.Funda.Stifle (this was added as a reminder to check this album - band is banned)

Most of the songs from Inter.Funda.Stifle made it to Fables From a Mayfly: What I Tell You Three Times Is True which has a much better production. (Inter.Funda.Stifle was self-produced I believe) So I'd suggest listening to Fables first, well unless you prefer the raw production on Inter.Funda.Stifle which has a certain charm I think. ;)

Despite me being in a big musical exploration these last weeks (mainly for roulette purposes :P), the next list update before results will likely be the last one, since I've been finding less and less good stuff as of late, and I already have a shit ton of records to check, and most big, iconic ones covered, so if I have to update the list again, it will be a few rounds later, and maybe just one of two albums.

Also, my PC is on mantainance, and should be ready tomorrow at best, but if not, results will likely be pushed back to Saturday. We'll see what happens - stay tuned.

Hey, there's no round where longer songs will be allowed right? I have an amazing 12 minute song waiting for you.  :corn

I decided in the last round, before the one with the top 5 players, there will be a limit of up to 18 mins. More on that later :P
