Wait, I just now noticed Ride the Lightning and AJFA are on the mighty list. So all this time I could've sent you Fade to Black? Goddamnit.

I think Sacul is very unlikely to like a Metallica song, IIRC.

Well Call of cthulu is kind the only Metallica song I really like, but haven't bothered with their albums apart from MoP which I found quite boring as a whole.

So, let's vote, which lyric is more cringeworthy?

Some talk of noise pollution
When we play our heavy metal
Don't be judgemental it's our way of life

We'll never stop we'll never quit
Cause we're Metallica

This first band is Soen very cool swingy jazz fusion kinda stuff.

The second one I guess, but it's not like they will affect the score. Now if you sent me Blackfield's Go To Hell, that's another story :lol

Do I get bonus points if I send a south-american song?

Hmm. The name drop in the Metallica song is bad, but "Don't be judgmental it's our way of life" is basically the slogan of being 14 years old. It's tough to pick.

I seriously sent that song though. :lol

Well, if Sacul doesn't care about lyrics, might as well test that, right? :lol

I don't know what I'm sending yet, but it's probably not going to be Metallica, and it's certainly not going to be anything off Kill 'Em All.

Yeah. It's pretty kickass metal though, what I've sent.

I was thinking about something from Heaven and Hell by Black Sabbath, but I was kinda worried that dated production will bother him. On the other hand, the bass really grooves on that album. I might send it later.

Yeah.. I feel like we have a lot of music likes in common, but I like a wider range of stuff that you do so I'm trying to introduce you to stuff I feel you may like, going by our common interests.  Maybe my taste is too eclectic to be effective.  Oh well.
I definitely encourage you to show me stuff outside my comfort zone  :tup

Oh well. It's kind of hard to tell what Sacul is going to like :lol
I realise that, even after writing a 5-page eassy on my tastes, it's difficult to predict whether I'll like something or not :lol

I think the only case where it'd bother me is if the production is really lame, and muddy. Or like DT12 :P

If it helps, I'll say that I've been quite getting into stoner rock as of late, and since the early Sabbath albums seem to be kinda like that, well, I may like them .

Heaven and Hell is basically perfect heavy metal. I might send them in R4 or R5, I don't have a lot of choices from the list anyway. And, well, if that goes bad, I may screw my plan of sending the five tracks I've picked out already for the latter rounds and just go with the metal approach all the way.

Come on, no one is mad enough to send you Sabbath, Helloween or Gamma Ray.

Keep in mind that that one crazy user, 425, is completely bonkers and doesn't have THAT many albums from Sacul's list.

But that lunatic is already thinking of something else to send for this round, and he probably isn't that mean.

Yea I should've just sent A Farewell to Arms, like anyone was going to send KOAN Sound  :lol

But to be fair, I didn't think you'd like it this much, hence why I waited with it. I was even thinking of sending another MH album that's not on your list.

My advice: send all of the big, well-known albums on the list as soon as you can because its quite probable someone will cockblock you :P

The good thing about playing in a roulette like this, where every round is scored equally and they're all open, is that you can frontload the stuff that you think other people might take, and then send your more obscure picks in the later rounds.

Pre-posting edit: Sacul posts the same sentiment right at the same time as I do.

I just scanned the list before the first round and made my own vague list of 8 to 10 songs I could send, giving myself some leeway in case some artists were taken, as was the case with Jeff Buckley, for example. My first five picks will be anything still available on that list. I definitely expect at least one more to go before I get to it, if not as many as 3 or 4.

After those first 5 rounds, the deluge.
