With our Instrumental Wankery closing up, I decided to do a poll on Dream Theater sampling. Please choose 2 of your least favorite samples here.

Every single one of them is bad and the songs would be much better without them.

So is this A.S.S. v3? I guess so
people on this board are actual music fans who developed taste in music and not casual listeners who are following current fashion trends and listening to only current commercial hits.

I can't remember most of them, but err Honor Thy Father and A Rite of Passage I guess

I really like the sampling in Awake, and particularly Space-Dye Vest. Can't imagine that song without it

Home's samples basically ruin the song for me.

Is this whole "DT moment" thing actually leading up to anything?

It's just basically like any survivors. Survivors are to figure out what fans generally feel are their favorite songs, albums, moments, etc.

This survivor doesn't touch upon albums and songs, but upon moments that fans feel are better.
