I'm amazed at the speed people are submitting, normally you have one guy that takes forever.

Regarding any point changes to It's A Miracle by Roger Waters:
There were some parts I liked more in the live version, some parts I liked less. I missed the eerie "miracle, miracle" chant at the end of the song. Also, I felt Roger Water's vocals were slightly more varied in the studio version, they seemed a bit less expressive in the live version. On the positive side we have the intro, which feels more alive and breathing in the live version. The background choirs that appear at times also have more of an emotional impact. The biggest plus for the live version is the outro, though. The guitar solo and the choirs just seem so huge and alive, especially compared to the studio version.
In total, I like the live version a bit more and I'd give it a solid 12. Can you change that in the scoreboard for Round 4, Bolsters?

I'll probably start listening to the next round tomorrow, but some of the comments in the thread and via pm have me intrigued.

Also, I relistened to all the songs where I listened to a different version than the one that was sent, but it didn't change my score for any of them

Great!  So the guy I need to catch just got a post-round bonus and I'm either further behind.  I scored 5th out of 7 this round - the two people I scored higher than - Nekov and Wolfking - are the two people I didn't need to out-perform.  :fistpump:

P.S.  Is the sarcasm thick enough?   ;D

I must reiterate, I'm not bitching... just being realistic and honest about the situation and my chances (slim to none) of advancing.

No, the issue was that Evermind sent Bolsters the live version at the start, but Bolsters passed along the studio version to us judges. We're correcting for a mistake, not granting Evermind a second chance to garner more points.

You are free to send live versions though, if you think we will like them more.

Just listened for the first time. I don't think I've ever had a more positive first impression of a roulette round. First impressions are far from everything, but I just wanted to say that on the first run, I'm really positive and excited about this round.

My first impression is relatively positive as well. I'm stuck in a broken train right now, so I have enough time to listen to the songs.
Also, I have a bit of a suspicion that Scorpion just totally cockblocked Evermind's planned Round 7 song. I don’t know for sure though.

I'm trying not to think of round 7 yet, that's gonna be a hard one.

Glad to hear the first impressions overall are good, just hope that remains over the upcoming listents.

I think my song can only grow with the subsequent listens, so I guess I'm fine this round. I mean, I may be wrong, but everyone I know who heard that song appreciated it more and more with each listen. I'm fairly sure 425 will like it a lot, and I have no idea about the other two judges, but well, we'll see.

3 listens in, and I have to agree this is a very strong round overall. There's one big dud though that fails to do anything for me as of now. Everything elsr ranges from pretty good to awesome.

Well, you'll find out tomorrow evening probably ;).

Also, "the big dud" grew on me a bit on my fourth listen, but there are still some problems with it that put it quite a bit below anything else this round.

I'm interested to see what Tyrias thinks is a dud, because I don't think there are any of those here.

I suppose the consequence of everybody doing well by the main judge (me) is that it suddenly become much more important what the other two judges think.

I will hopefully post writeups today. If not today, then tomorrow. If not today nor yet tomorrow then some other day.
