10 days after release, I have finally received a confirmation e-mail that the shipment for my The Astonishing pre-order  has been made  :metal

Now it will arrive in a couple of days...

The vinyl version popped up for pre-order in our largest online store, bol.com, so I assume it is not Roadrunner store exclusive. It is 94 euro's here, so I am still not going buy it. But over here (Netherlands), this means no shipping costs. So it is a more convienent and cheaper way of getting it. And I assume other countries in EU will follow suit.

And the poster: is it the artwork for the album? A picture of the band?

I'm in the UK and I have received an email today from RR saying that "The Astonishing Limited Edition Deluxe Box Set" has been dispatched, with a MyHermes tracking number... but the tracking number doesn't work, I thought this was delayed until May?

Anyone else received any news?

Yap, I got the same email a couple of hours ago.

Tracking number does not work for me either, but that is a usual thing for large mail-orders that get the tracking number electronically before actually shipping the goods. Most of the times tracking numbers start working on the next working day, probably tomorrow morning the tracking number will update properly.

I assume though that this is not the box, this is just the LP with the CDs probably, and maybe the limited pin that pre-order customers were supposed to get. Or even better the limited signed poster that was advertised with a previous email from Roadrunner.

I live in EU also, and pre-ordered the box bundle from the Roadrunner EU shop.

Just received the LP in the mail and was immediately disappointed once I opened it to see all 4 sleeves have a 3-4" rip.





Not sure what my options are, but I'm waiting for a response from Roadrunner to see about them sending replacement sleeves.

So, I got my vinyl set today, and also the possibility to download FLAC-files via "DREAMTHEATER.COM/THEASTONISHING-VINYL" (which redirects to www.dreamtheater.net/...), but I get a "Page not found" when trying to access it. Have tried both with and without caps.

Isn't it up yet, or should I use another link?

I posted a picture of it on the DTF Facebook last night. It sounded very good to me and I could hear a couple of Mangini parts I hadn't noticed before, maybe I just wasn't paying as much attention as I was with the LP. Honestly, I don't regret this purchase because it's DT, but I feel it's a little overpriced for a 4LP set. I wouldn't pay a penny over $60 for a similar set from another artist.

Anyone living in Europe has received the vinyl from Roadrunner yet?

The tracking number they sent on the 15th of March never worked. I had to contact customer support and they gave me a different tracking number that partially works. According to this tracking number the vinyl was shipped on the 19th of March from Germany, but since then, nine days later, it has not updated at all.

So I decided to check my Roadrunner order as I forgot what date in May my The Astonishing Limited Edition Deluxe Box Set was suppose to ship and to my disappointment it now says June 17 2016 as the release date. I can honestly say I will never order a Box set again and for myself this has been the most disappointing release from Dream Theater I have ever experienced. The excitement has completely gone it will now be at least 6 months until I receive this box set.  :(

The delay has been disappointing.  I just checked mine, and I can't seem to find any shipping date.  The last notice was an email saying it would ship sometime in May.

I went to check the product page and noticed a few things.

First - a large price drop.  It is now listed at $124.99  Those of us who paid full price haven't even gotten the complete product yet, and they have dropped the price drastically.

Second - Roadrunner says it is in stock.  Um, no it isn't.  "In stock" implies that if I purchase that item, that it will be shipped out right away, as it is advertised on the page.  I am unaware of a single person who has received the entire box set with the NOMAC.




*Edit*

The store is messed up.  They have the normal CD/Vinyl box set listed at $199.  Yet the description says it will ship with the full limited edition box set.





It would be nice if Roadrunner would at least send another update email.

Those are the same prices as they were at launch. You get the CDs and the Box for $125, but no vinyl. The Box Set Bundle includes the vinyl (which is $99 by itself) and the CDs and the box for $199, so you save about $25 if you order the Bundle. Yes, it's as confusing now as it was then. And yes, disappointing that the album has come, the tour has come and gone (for a lot of us), and we still do not have the box set.

Just checked my order status on RR's website & it said it's  "processing "
Really hoping it will ship by the end of the week. ( fingers crossed) Looking forward to digging into
the Deluxe Boxset.

Looks like I may have jumped the gun.....my order status says
release date of 6/17/2016.They may have another album out
before we get this boxset. Brutal.

This is my first ever post on this forum. I live in India and I'm a die hard "Dream Theater" fan since 1998 and I own every single studio album, live album and EP's they have ever released. I'm quite pleased to mention that I pre-ordered 'The Astonishing' Deluxe Bundle, which cost me a fortune (by the way anything that Dream Theaters releases is priceless).

I received the audio CD's along with the Limited Edition Pin in February and Vinyl Box Set in March. I was wondering if anyone has a clue about when these guys at Roadrunner Records gonna release the 'Limited Deluxe Collector's Edition Box Set' from their inventory. Eagerly looking forward for a reply from you beautiful people. Thank you!  :metal
