I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

I really should do more playing around with networking.  We have a "dev data center" with rack space and tons of networking equipment in our spare pile that I could set something up and play with it.... but I end up BSing on this site instead during work hours  :lol

You should totally mess around with that stuff. We have a crapload of routers and switches that we aren't using. We have a room filled with extra equipment that they will probably never do anything with. I should set something up in one of the labs just for fun. Hmmm, if I created a hole in the firewall, I could probably remote access it from home. hmmmmm

I read Tolkien more than I watch. And I'm quite sick of all the rubbish created by The Hobbit movies. I see things online about the histories of the characters and such like Azog, Tauriel, and Thranduil and it just irks the fuck out of me how much PJ and all them butchered the storyline in those movies.

I might need to reread The Silmarillion and Lost Tales etc again soon.

I know. The filmmakers took a really liberal attitude in regards to embellishing on the story this time around. They added so much unnecessary material.
