Good morning Krusty Krew.

I got a text last night from my boss telling me that a monthly report to management was due today by 8am. This report usually takes like 2 hours to put together... so I planned on coming in early to get it done.

Nope. Overslept.

But I was still able to pump it out and send out by 8:15. Because I am awesome.

Now I need caffeine.

Also, Panda was rear ended last night on her way to bowling. There may be enough damage to call her car totalled, She was sitting in the right lane of the freeway in traffic (this particular lane is right before a bottleneck, and also leads into a very busy offramp... during peak times it is not unusual for it to back up half a mile) at a dead stop when a chick slammed into her. She it her so hard that she set up her own airbag. The damage to Panda's PT doesn't look bad cosmetically, but it is all in the bumper... and She swears its driving really funky now. fuck.

Funny thing you mention the house... after getting home from that ordeal last night... she was walking up our building's external stairway to get to our condo and her foot went through the floor at the top. And there is also a step that's so loose it feels as if it's going to fall off when stepping on it.

Well I must have a horseshoe shoved up my ass...

After my call this morning went well, I decided I was going to take my "lunch break" and get my car. Thing is, the dealership is closer to home than work, so I had to really drive to get there (in the other direction from my house, so basically home, plus some, then back). Overall 50 miles round trip. Took an hour 45. Got food on my way back, hit no traffic, got back to the office, my boss hasn't left her office since I left. As far as she knows I've been here the whole time. Fuckin' 'ell.

Oh yeah, definitely. My gripe was never with the work being done. I was just frustrated. And credit to the guys at the dealer, they could have just sent me home, only to have to come back with another check engine light. They did all that they could while still under warranty to make sure the car was perfect and all covered. At the time I got every phone call saying not today, maybe tomorrow, I was frustrated at the situation, but I can't fault them at all.

But man does it feel good to be back behind the wheel of my own car, with the proper power. The loaner they gave me had about half the power my car has.

Glad you had a great dealership experience. The last time I had to deal with my dealer's service department was a train-wreck.

- transmission hugely slipping gears... mostly from 1st to 2nd
- take it in... I'm literally 400kms over the "suggested" time that a transmission flush is recommended. So, that's what they do first. I know that this is more than just a problem with old transmission fluid, but whatever
- 10 days later with repeated error codes they can't resolve, the finally get to the point of replacing the entire transmission. Fortunately, I had a loaner the whole time.
- go to pick up the car, and they had the balls to try and charge me $370 for the transmission flush. Are you fucking kidding me!?!? You're going to charge me for a service that was A) not needed, B) not the problem, and C) something I'm not going to get any value out of because YOU REPLACED THE WHOLE FUCKING TRANSMISSION!

I will ONLY do warranty work at my dealer. Everything else goes to "my" mechanic. Been going there 15 years, and my wife for 20 years before that. Never any problems with them. Always 100% above board.

I had an A4 loaner. 220hp inline 4-cyilnder with quattro. Peppy, nice car but not mine.

I have an S4. Supercharged V6 uptuned to 400hp, with quattro and a 7-speed dual clutch S-tronic transmission.

I stayed home from work today. Gianna had a 104.5 fever and her mother couldn't take another day off. Her fever dropped to below 100 now, and she's in much better spirits. She was delirious when I went to see her yesterday.

Thanks, King. When a fever gets that high, all you are hoping for is that it doesn't get any higher because then it's an emergency room visit. It's much lower now, thankfully. She fell asleep a little while ago so I'm sure she'll sleep peacefully.

I woke myself up early today, at 1:30pm.

And for the last two hours I've had a terrible pain in my lower side, so if I'm not around tomorrow I probably had an alien baby rip out of me or something.
