Glad you had a great dealership experience. The last time I had to deal with my dealer's service department was a train-wreck.
- transmission hugely slipping gears... mostly from 1st to 2nd
- take it in... I'm literally 400kms over the "suggested" time that a transmission flush is recommended. So, that's what they do first. I know that this is more than just a problem with old transmission fluid, but whatever
- 10 days later with repeated error codes they can't resolve, the finally get to the point of replacing the entire transmission. Fortunately, I had a loaner the whole time.
- go to pick up the car, and they had the balls to try and charge me $370 for the transmission flush. Are you fucking kidding me!?!? You're going to charge me for a service that was A) not needed, B) not the problem, and C) something I'm not going to get any value out of because YOU REPLACED THE WHOLE FUCKING TRANSMISSION!
I will ONLY do warranty work at my dealer. Everything else goes to "my" mechanic. Been going there 15 years, and my wife for 20 years before that. Never any problems with them. Always 100% above board.
