What's new?

What was happening with me last time ?

On March 30th 2015 I got fired from Starbucks. I had to move out of my flat and move back to Wales. It was terribly emotional. Getting out of my flat was so stressful. The housing agents

wanted all sorts of things. Most of which involved them not spending a penny and me spending a fucking ton of money. Just to move out.

Anyway I moved back to the seaside just as the weather got warm. Took a driving test for a 125 motorbike so I can drive around.

Got a new job and a new flat in Wales.

Man it seems like employment issues abound for DTFers...hopefully everything works itself out.

Dropping my daughter back to her mother's house is always the most painful and depressing moment of the weekend.

So I'm planning on offloading my truck to whoever wants to make a offer, and I picked up a 94 Accord off of my buddy's girlfriend. Drove it around today. Best car I've ever owned. Lol
I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

That accord is probably just being broken in, those things last forever.

Seriously. It's got a couple issues. ABS light is on.... and it stalls at idle sometimes when the tank gets below 1/4. My friend's GF bought it off an old woman 5 yrs who had it parked in a barn and used it very sparingly.. It had 85k miles when it was parked (Odo is dead). We estimate probably no more than 150k miles on it now. Probably less. She drove it till she graduated college and bought a brand new Corolla (She makes big money now.. compared to me. Haha). Now it's mine.

Now I just need to find someone who wants to buy a shitty Rodeo with a possible blown head gasket.

I know right? Sleep is such a buzzkill. Right when my brain has finally reached peak performance for the day, bam, I'm supposed to sleep, which today was 6-7am. :lol

I'm the same. I come up with a lot of my best ideas while in bed trying to sleep, because my brain doesn't have an off switch. I often write down ideas on on my phone while lying in bed so I don't forget them, then the next morning I'll see them and expand them into something.
I think most of the ideas I'm currently working on I came up with while trying to get to sleep.

It makes perfect sense. Our minds are much more relaxed when we're lying in bed. We're already trying to shut ourselves down so we can fall asleep. Though going a couple of days without sleep helps also. I ran into that problem last week. By the second night, I was seeing shit that wasn't there, having these odd thoughts and visions.

Been there. Not fun. :lol

I think also when you're in bed, it's like sensory deprivation, no pictures and noises coming from various gadgets, so the imagination is more free to do whatever.

That's basically what I was getting at. All stimuli has been removed, except for hoping to have dreams with googley-eyed women.   :lol

Ironically enough, a few minutes after my last post I fell asleep with my hand on the keyboard.   :lol

I wish I had more dreams about women, even the googly eyed variety. :(

Instead I dreamed I was failing at school, then went to some kind of mall to rent time in a tiny holodeck, then some people looked at my drawings when I didn't want them to, and I cried and it made the colours run and suddenly the drawings looked awesome.
Then I started singing a song in my dream, then I woke up and realized I was singing it to the tune of the Stargate movie overture.

:blob:
