As opposed to an AOR flu where you break out in makeup, torn jeans, and sing bad journey ripoffs.  :lol

BlobVanDam

I see the prog flu has already hit you hard. I hope you get well soon. :)

Prog Snob

You'll know when I have the flu because I'll start saying things like, "hey, that new Glenn Hughes release is killer."

BlobVanDam

I can see you're delirious with prog defensiveness, so I'll leave you to it. Later.

Morning hef!

It's tolerable weather tonight, so hopefully I can get some stuff done tonight.

I won't. You all know I won't.

ReaperKK

Good morning everyone! Back from the cruise and going back to work today :(

Really good. The first day was cold (especially in Miami), about 45F when we left port. Second day we had really rough seas but after having some wine I didn't feel the boat move at all. Did some gambling and won $210. Saw a lot of shows and came home exhausted and 3 pounds heavier. It was a good time. Seeing celebrities walking around the boat was very cool as well.

Prog Snob

That's great! It sounds like you had a good time. Which celebrities did you see?

Is it cooling off yet, Blob?

Morning, Prog.

Prog Snob

So, when should I expect you picking me up in the Mercedes?

Today cooled down a bit, so it's been more tolerable. Tomorrow is supposed to be the coolest day we've had in a little while (27C/80F), then back to total shit. Technically only two weeks left in Summer. Thank fuck for that.

Sorry, Mang. I thought about flying out and driving it home, but with all the storms in the midwest I decided to have it shipped.

I was pretty happy for the temps to get up to 13C yesterday. The sun came out and melted a lot of snow.

I don't blame you. I've heard about some of those storms. It's definitely not worth the risk of damaging the new beaut.

Podaar

Besides, the shipping company is responsible for any damage in transit this way.

Nice. How much snow did you get?

Podaar

Well, we had a couple inch base ever since Christmas. About three weeks ago we had a series of storms that dropped a few inches each time. By the time it was all said and done, I had about a foot of hard packed snow out on my lawn. Several feet piled up alongside the car park and walkways. In the last week it has nearly all melted except for on the north side of fences and such.

Podaar

Listening to "Over-Nite Sensation" since the Zappa Discography thread is just about to exit his fusion albums. I've always loved this album, but it does change the flavor of listening to it after going chronologically through the discography. Great guitar solos, too.

Damn. I've never seen snow in my life, so I can't even imagine that. I also don't leave the house, so even if we did get snow.......

Podaar

 :lol

My city once hosted the Winter Olympic so it's a good idea for us to have snow. What isn't a good idea is that I continue to live here.  :)

That's funny. I was listening to Drops of Jupiter last night. What a great song.

Heading into the field. Catch up with you guys later.

Calculus is awesome. I still have my notes from college.

I remember being particularly fond of Vector Calculus and Differential Equations. Doing exams for those subjects really calmed me for some weird reason lol, given that those exercises are like 10% Calculus and 90% algebra.

It's kind of weird, but because I'm studying Physics, I'm doing Partial Differential Equations in one subject and haven't even officially learned what a derivative is in Calculus.

But yeah, exam was pretty chill. I messed up a pretty simple induction proof because I had to rush it at the end, but it everything else went pretty smoothly.
