You know, I was just thinking.

It's been fantastic having my kids at a young age. I know it's not for everyone, but it has worked out extremely well for me. I can relate with them (easier than my folks did with me). I get to enjoy my grand-children while I'm still relatively young compared with my maternal grandfather who was 60 when I was born.

Still, I think it's caused me to age a little prematurely. I have some of those empty nest-feelings you see in your folks. You know, like, "Hey, it wouldn't hurt to call your ol' man once in a while." I don't actually say that, but I feel it sometimes.
