Good morning y'all.  Been dealing with a pissed off resident at work who's car was towed last night.  This is the second tow my guys have gotten  in just as many nights...  Usually we have one ever other month.  I'm just waiting for the owner to show up and start bitching me out.  She already did over the phone.  Yay Sundays!
I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

Aw, programming would be my choice of those too. What languages did you learn in that one?

Python. It was mainly numerical methods that are useful in Physics problems, like searching for roots of functions numerically, approximating weird functions to certain degrees of exactness... stuff like that.

It's not a subject, just the worst part of one, called Mathematical Methods for Theoretical Physics.

The others are Calculus I, Linear Algebra (which I've already written and it was pretty easy) and Physics I (which consists of Mechanics and a small bit of Thermodynamics).

I don't envy you Scorpion. DiffEq was a bitch, so was calculus 1, 2 and 3.

The subject I hated the most was Chemistry.

Goodluck!

Thanks! You know, I think the whole differential equations stuff would be a lot more manageable if we weren't solving partial differential equations in Mathematical Methods for Theoretical Physics before doing derivatives in Calculus.

I am chillaxing at home. Shitty day today. Glad to be away from work for the day.

Kinda half assed watching the Super Bowl.

Back in my single days I used to have a sweet setup in my bedroom. Speakers on each side of my bed with an ipod dock next to me. Plug some music and and just relax.

Very well, arrich. Very well indeed...and yourself?

The kids left a shit pot of dishes in the sink when the football game was over last night. Had their fun and scampered!  :lol  It's all good though, fun was had by all.

Why do you have two days off, KB?

Nice. I could definitely do with some time off.

I'm good thanks Pod, slightly overwhelmed with how much there is going on at the moment, but it's all good stuff so I can't (and won't!) complain. Work is busy, plus I got a promotion last month and I'm still trying to get my head around transitioning into the new role. And then I'm getting married in June, so there's all the planning and prep for that going on. And on top of that we're finally getting round to do stuff to the house that we bought over a year ago, so I'm having to learn, among other things, how to use a power drill and put up shelves/blinds/curtains.

Like I said, it's all positive stuff and I'm incredibly lucky to be in this position. Just not sure my brain can keep up with everything!

So I listened to Act I last night and tried to follow the lyrics at the same time.

It's getting better with each listen.

Act II tonight.

Nice. I'm pleased for you!

I still have some times like these, few and far between now, so I know what you are talking about...at least a little. Still, I'm happy that the majority of life's super-busy moments are behind me now. I'm rapidly becoming content with a slower life.

That's awesome. I've still got a long way to go for that - we still have the whole "having kids" phase first which I'm told is pretty exhausting! :P

It's more mentally exhausting than anything. It has been the most profound and painful experience of my life so far. But I wouldn't change anything.
