I feel the same way, I've so far stuck to drinking on weekends only.

Apparently, I've recently come down with a touch of the diabeetus, so I have cut my drinking back from 3-4 beers and a half glass of bourbon daily to drinking only 2 or 3 nights a week.  This sucks.

Yea, it seems come 5ish I make myself a cocktail as I start to work on prepping for making a home cooked dinner... almost every night.  There's just very little else to do and I end up entertained.  Also doesn't help that the one store that I can walk to from my house is a liqour store.  I just walked over and got a bottle of wine and titos for the weekend.  I know we aren't the only ones, all my friends share clips of their drinks for the night to each other.

Been on call this week so no drinking, that is over now, so look out!
We're actually having a virtual happy hour with some friends and fam on Google Duo tonight.

I've been wondering when this starts at work  :lol Most people I work with are big drinkers and social drinking events are every quarter.  They cancelled them obviously but I wouldn't be surprised if one pops up after hours with people just drinking together via webex.

I actually just did a video conference with my boss and was surprised he wasn't drunk although he definitely might have been drinking already since the whole purpose of the call was to better discuss what he was clearly struggling to type  :lol

I had a nice FaceTime cocktail hour (that turned into 2 hours) with my daughter and son-in-law last night. We had a nice chat, quite a few laughs, and several cocktails. It was actually really fun!

Best way I can make light of it.  :lol

Mostly Yuengling Lager Light and a random IPA here and there, then some Jack and light apple juice towards the end of the night.

Good way to end the crappy work week, nice bourbon on the rocks and some gaming.

Coz! It touched me 20 years ago. I'm 4-5 beers daily. For me, it's two Mooseheads, followed by two Bass, and then maybe another Moosehead to cap it off.

I'll buy an odd IPA every now and then, or do a couple SoCo shots every now and then as well.

For me, it's less about drinking and more about eating....or what I'm eating.

I'm not sure I mentioned this in the main thread...but I'm in the fortunate circumstance of being able to ride this out on unemployment for at least a couple of months without missing a beat, provided I'm extremely frugal with my shopping habits.   Stick to the basics on food, don't travel, no buying CD's.   If I just sit at home with my existing DVD, CD and book collection, I will be fine for awhile.

That being said, alcohol is definitely on the necessities list.   :rollin :rollin

But we're still keeping it basic.   I've found that Fresca makes an excellent mixer for vodka.  I'll be kicking back with that while watching Iron Man after dinner.

Man I was at the Liquor store earlier and it was packed with small ladies buying big bottles of booze. Cabin fever setting on on most at this point , baby boom of 2020 in my area I'm thinking.

I got a couple of cheap pints of Jim Beam ( versus a fifth ). I'd like to function tomorrow but if I get a handle I'll be in the dirt face down.
