Hello there, Haken fans!
It's november again, which means it's time for the annual Haken survivor. I've run this survivor the past three years, and the format will remain the same. It's fun to see how the results vary between each year, and to see how the opinions on songs change throughout the years.
For this survivor, I'm including the following albums:
- Aquarius (2010)
- Visions (2011)
- The Mountain (2013)
- Restoration EP (2014)
- Enter the 5th Dimension (2008) - Bonus Round!
Of each album, the top 3 goes to the finals, while the song placed fourth goes to consolation. From Restoration, the top 1 track goes to the finals and the song placed second will enter consolation. The consolation round will thus comprise 4 different songs, from 4 different albums, of which the top 2 goes to the Finals. This gives a Finals round with a total of 12 songs.
The bonus round for 'Enter the 5th Dimension' will run simultaneously with the Consolation rounds. Last year I did the Haken demos for the first time and there wasn't as much interest in them as in their official album releases.
Whereas in previous years I used to make rounds last 2 days, I think I'm going with 1-day rounds this time, to move through this a little quicker. If there's any objections to that, please let me know.
