Hey guys! For good measure, probably just don't talk about leaks at all, fake or otherwise.
Correct.

Looks like I got me some banning to do.

Everyone else: literally just stop talking about leaks. It really is not difficult.

Ariich is a freak, or somehow has more hours in the day than everyone else.

I'm so excited to finally get an actual double album from DT. SDOIT was close, but I don't think it was officially recognized as a double album because it didn't get to the length requirement for a double album.

SDOIT is 90 minutes long.  That's more than enough to warrant 2 discs.

You misunderstand.

I believe for a double album to be counted as two albums for sales purposes, it needs to reach a certain length. And I do not believe SDOIT was long enough.

The real challenge starts tomorrow (?) when the single will be released.
I will probably have to avoid the internet for a while in order to avoid spoilers.

I hope that the folks who WILL listen to the single will be able to discuss it in a designated thread, and keep this one spoiler-free.

Thanks!  ;D

If an official single is released, there most likely will be a thread dedicated to it's discussion to reduce spoilers. This has been before on this forum.

I cannot confirm that a single will be released tomorrow. I can confirm that it is planned for release within reasonable time. I would not take the odds of betting against it being released tomorrow.

Maybe the OP should add "Spoiler free discussion" in the topic in order to assure it.

And that's what people are going crazy about? ???
Mostly because James wrote to Kevin(Moore, not Labrie ;D) "Maybe one day our paths will cross again".
So the path won't divide them... Maybe because they've chosen the same side!! :lol

Oh I didn't know about that part . . . I understand now.

Well far be it from me to decry crazy theories :lol :rollin

Myspace?

I thought the album was supposed to take place 200 years in the future not 10 years in the past.

Is that true, that one purchase of a double album counts as two sales? If so, that may give DT a real shot at hitting number one on the charts (of course depending on what else is being released that week).

I don't want to hear a single. I want to listen to the whole album as a whole, fresh from start to finish.

The genre of The Gift of Music on MySpace is listed as "Pop" . . .

Not sure how I feel about that :lol But hey, if anyone can pull off "Prog" and "Pop", it's DT ;)

Ok, so what would you like? Something more metal like TEI, or more prog rock like TLG? Usually they release the more typical metal song as a single...

Hey guys! I don't know if anyone was aware, but this band Dream Theater is working on their 13th album. Some are already saying that it will be a double concept album, but that's way too far-fetched, even for them.

Anyway, I'm really looking forward to hear the cool drum parts that Mike Portnoy will come up with this time!
