I hope that I will get the album at least a few weeks prior to the show, as DT albums often require time to sink in for me. I'm expecting release during Januari. And maybe a full/partial stream? They did that with DT12 right? I recall something like that.

Sexy. :zydar:

I don't really have any interest in some character names and pictures though, without much background information. Ok, someone named Gabriel is going to be mentioned on the lyrics.

Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

Not the followup you'd expect after "Nafaryus" and "Arhys", but me likes.

Should be Gabryel really.  :P

I think we're going to have a few story-related updates (characters and maps) rather than album info (confirmed release date, artwork, single) for the next little while.

The longer they hold off on an official reveal of the cover, the more terrified I become.

Amazon's release dates sometimes differ from the "actual ones"
I wouldn't consider January 29 as a fact.

It could actually be released before that. Wouldn't that be amazing?  :rollin

miracle (n.)
.....from mirari "to wonder at, marvel, be astonished," .......

In the email from Arhys, it says-
"By means almost indescribable, we have biohacked the receivers implanted into the flesh so many generations ago, jamming the cacophonous lull of the NOMACS for however much longer our primitive tech will abide."

Lull means to put to sleep, as in sleeper.

The sleepers are awoken by the miracle, ie. The Astonishing?

There goes my theory of all the Rebels being on the right half of the portraits. The only way to make up for that is... make another theory!  :lol

I predict Gabriel will be responsible for at least one huge decision in this story. Perhaps there will be a moment where he considers joining the Empire... Maybe he'll betray Arhys and kill him. Maybe he's the character that has the most influence on Arhys.

Or maybe I'm completely wrong again.

I predict that Gabriel is Arhys brother, being that its the only other character we've thus far have heard of in the emails. Which would make Gabriel the chosen one.

Gabriel may at least be true to the angelic nature of his name... Or, as the angel was, a messenger of sorts. I wouldn't initially bet on him being the chosen one (I'd put my chips on "faythe" so far), but it could be a curve ball. Maybe he's the bringer of "good news"... which could be the "siren's call" or not.

 :corn

EDIT: On second thought, Gabriel was revealed on Black Friday. Maybe he's the cheapo who sells Ravenskill out to the empire?  :hat

Faythe sounds like a feminine name. And the chosen one has already been revealed to be Arhys' brother.

That is true. He seems younger and more "innocent" than Arhys too, somehow.

I wonder if the "sorrowful song" is a recurring motif during the album. It seems like it took so little time to make this album for it to seem so complex! I'm glad it seems pretty long at least, because all of this is throwing my expectations way up high.

Faythe is Gabriel's crush
Gabriel gets in trouble
Faythe sacrifices herself to save him
She dies, but saves the humanity

Ah, thanks. Then I hope they will do something similar now ! Or maybe just stream the first disc in advance and leave the second one as a cliffhanger for full release  ;D From marketing perspective that would keep the "new album soon!" hype spread out longer as well.

They might not necessarily be blood brothers. Might just be brothers in the sense they share the same ideals, dreams etc.

Faythe grew with Gabriel and Arhys but one day she finds out that she is the daughter of Nafaryus and she's got to be the princess of GNEA, but she's in love with Gabriel so she has to decide between GNEA or stay with Gabriel joining the Rebel movement. Maybe she dies in battle or she sacrifices herself to save the world.

That's my humble prediction.

This album for me, represents what SFAM was after the "FII years", they HAVE to make it GREAT!

I personally have a great feeling about The Astonishing.
