I was just about to type this out.

Its safe to say that "Faythe" is a new female character.

Isn't just the super-arcaic way of spelling Faith? the mails sent from the Empire had some of those ancient-sounding words.

I wonder what the nomac symbol means next to the first and the last track!

That way of spelling was a common female baby name in Rome.

Excellent! 11 tracks just for Act 1?!

I'm really excited about this one.

11 tracks in CD1... SDOIT had 13 tracks considering the splitted parts of SDOIT itself!

22 selectable tracks would be awesome.

More tracks = more choice = much less chance to get bored of the album a la Black Clouds.

I'm almost sure it's been only 10 days since the "astonishing" website showed up.

Some wild speculation about the storyline and how the songs may sound, with of course no assumption that I'm actually right:

1. Descent of the NOMACS  - non musical intro, like I Remember Now for Mindcrime, or with minimal instruments like Regression.
2. Dystopian Overture - The true opening of the album, instrumental, just like Overture 1928.
3. The Gift of Music - First song with lyrics, anthemic and uplifting.
4. The Answer - More introspective song, after having discovered the gift of music they found the answer to... something.
5. A Better Life - Possible ballad, in Ravenskill they long for a better life.
6. Lord Nafaryus - Song of the bad guy, heavy and eerie.
7. A Savior in the Square - Back to the good guys, the chosen one shows up.
8. When Your Time Has Come - Another uplifting song, preparing the chosen one for whatever he has to do.
9. Act of Faythe - Balladish song about the female character.
10. Three Days - Well, this is kinda open to any interpretation, the chosen one has three days to get ready to spring into action or something.
11. The Hovering Sojourn - instrumental outro to the first disc.

I'm 100% sure 2 November was the day they announced the Europe tour, and I'm almost sure the first 5 tracks we're released the same day or one day before or after.

Now I speculate the European The Astonishing shows will just be the album. Since 2 discs of 80 minutes = 2 hours 40 minutes. Even if the discs are only 60 -70 minutes each there'd probably be an intermission of 10-20 minutes between act 1 and 2.

Exciting. This will probably be the longest album they've ever made.

There's that symbol again, next to "The Hovering Sojourn". Interesting titles.

My first impression of the title "Three Days" Is that it will be one of the longer tracks. It just has an epic 10+ minute feel to it.

I'm aware of the name, I was more interested in the significance of these symbols being next to the first and last track on Act I.

I figured you did - sorry just being a smart-ass.  Could it be that they are non-musical tracks as some have suggested?

I just noticed, besides the new track titles, that you can now click on Nafaryus' picture. Not a lot happening; it just has his picture next to the Great Northern Empire symbol.

More track titles is very exciting news though. :caffeine:

Anyone think that the "eyes" might belong to the band ?

Bottom left looks like it could be Jordan.

I wonder if they were inspired by Rush to do another concept album. That last Rush album was astonishing ;) I wonder what they think of it.

Oh. Shows how much I pay attention. The font for "The Astonishing" at the top has changed though. It was a sans-serif type, but now it's the correct one, based on the tour promo.
