Jammin Dude's Neighborhood!! New theme song by Odd Logic
« on: October 11, 2015, 01:35:29 PM »
I just couldn't wait to share this with you guys because my friend is so crazy talented.

Some of you have checked out Seattle prog rock band Odd Logic.  The lead singer/main songwriter Sean Thompson is a friend of mine.   When I told him the running gag of me being a mix of "The Dude" and Mr Rodgers, I suddenly had the idea of a theme song that would be a prog rock version of the Mr Rodgers theme song.

Sean came back just two days later with this...and my jaw absolutely HIT THE FLOOR!!  I now have the greatest theme song on the internet thanks to him!!

I need to get some visuals for it, but I couldn't wait.  This is just too fantastic.

BUMP.

I don't do this very often.   Trying to keep the show going while also being the sole income of a household where I take care of a disabled wife is extremely difficult.

It's kindof weird how something that brings you joy, can also bring you overwhelming anxiety sometimes.   I hadn't done an interview in an extremely long time.   But I started trading Emails with Jonathan before District 97 came to Seattle for SeaProg, and so I thought "what the hell" and I asked him for an interview.    He said yes....and then I had to spend the next day or so wondering what I was going to ask and being paranoid that I would screw the entire thing up.      Then there was a lot of background noise, and I was worried that the audio was going to be completely unusable.     And then, even after the interview was over (which went really well) I spent the whole concert thinking..."OMG....Did I forget to press record?"

But I hadn't.   The interview turned out fine.   The audio is a little on the quiet side, but you can still understand what everyone is saying (and the sound improves when someone finally closes the door).

To anyone who does tune in, thank you.   I'm not very regular with this thing.   But it is a lot of fun when I manage to pull it off.

Here is my interview from June 9th 2019 at SeaProg in Seattle with Jonathan Schang, and Tim Seisser of District 97.   (Leslie was originally going to join in, but she was having vocal issues that night, and wanted to save it for the show)
