Rich... I'm not much of a religious person, so I'll just keep you and Mrs Tick (and your daughter) in my thoughts for a positive outcome.  I had a very close friend diagnosed just over a year ago, and going through chemo/radiation, she is now cancer-free.  They're having a party/celebration on the a 1-year anniversary of her first treatment in a few weeks.

I hope for the exact same outcome with you.

F#ck cancer - that was her tagline.  Speaking about it is a good thing - I've seen so many people use Care Pages to talk/discuss/share their experiences.  Our friend said this (and lots of additional therapy) was a key part of her treatment.
