Haven't read all the writeups yet, but I'm raging over the acceptance of Damnation Angels - you had posted The Valiant Fire in the 'what album are you listening to' thread earlier this year! Given they only have 2 albums, it was logical to conclude you knew them well enough to 'ban' them. Killer tune though.

Still sticking with the Costanza approach - I'm pleasantly surprised that the SB tune didn't get any of those shit comments.

Sorry mate.

You only have to look at the light-ish melodic rock/prog rock that got good scores this round to know that's not necessary. Some of my all time favourite tracks are ballads . Despite the standings (and don't forget you're averaging an 8 with the scores on the board) you have done well pushing me out of my comfort zone. I think though when it comes to "alternative/modern" (which is already a stretch) then it's probably safer that they rock than be "poppy".

That would be the natural choice, but I went with something a little shorter and more accessible (to Brent). Wasn't sure if Brent would have the patience for At The End of the Day as his introduction to the Beard.

Seriously, I do have a band from the 90's that are not anything like the 90's at all that are one of my favorite bands. Not proggy at all. I'll narrow down which song to send.

I was surprised it wasn't banned myself, when I sent my list of bands to Brent and he said he only had The Valiant Fire. So I figured I might as well take advantage of the situation.
