Interesting.............I had both of the Top 2 songs this round in my jingle.list.  I wasn't hugely confident in the Evidence One but happy enough with that.

Will wait for further info before replacing the one track rejected from my final round submissions.

Bolsters… pays me back threefold for punishing him with Animotion.
Funny, after how scathing a review I gave of that song, I was seeing this as being the other way around. :lol

Congrats to the finalists. Should be a good show with those three. :corn

Nice. I'm relieved one of these is over for me! Just sent my final submission to Brent (not making his finals either! :D)

The next roulette is Kade's?

I'm going to need some a pre acceptance list.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

Dammit   :'(

Anyways, thanks for saving me in the very first round- I'm happy that I got to participate to this point, hopefully I was able to pique your interests in at least a couple groups. And I can take comfort int he fact that this result is a sizable step up for me from your last roulette, in which I was knocked out with my first submission. Maybe next time, if you ever do one again, I'll continue this progress and win the whole thing. To be honest though, your deep library had me struggling at times, so that's probably not so likely.

Congrats to the finalists and especially Big Hath.

Congrats for the finalist. Guess I blew my jingle load last time.

Thought evidence one was banned but when I checked it was Brent's list. Bloody memory.

I've just discovered a perfect band for the ep round too. I'll just send it to your Spotify account.

Big Hath - Jaded Heart / Ain't A Perfect World
Not sure if you’re intending to cheat here, or if this is just dumb luck.

definitely dumb luck

Big Hath - Black Tora / Fuel My Hunger
You nailed it with both of your submissions this round – not sure which one of them was the “risk”, or if you were simply aiming hard with both guns blazing – or perhaps trying to cock-block your competition in the finals.  If so, mission accomplished on all fronts.

Yeah, I was firing with both barrels this round.  Although I didn't know exactly how you would rate this one, so I guess it was a bit of a risk.  I probably should have held on to it for the final  :lol
Winger would be better!

At first I thought I've got 10 points for being 2nd, but then I reread it and well, yeah, about what I expected. :lol

I had fun though! I don't think I would be able to beat Brent or Kade anyway, so it's all fine. Good luck to you both in Finals and thank you Chad for running this.
This first band is Soen very cool swingy jazz fusion kinda stuff.

2 of my final round bands were used that round.  Should have kept Machine Men, back to the drawing board for the final round.

The next roulette is Kade's?

I'm going to need some a pre acceptance list.

Not until at least March bro, you got plenty of time, and I'll probably do a gigantic banned list to try and make it as easy as possible.

Chad, when is the latest you want the final submission.  Our time zones differences and me going into the weekend might make me just throw 30 minutes together.  It worked last round.

Poodles likely would've been an A+ = hi 80s; Rox Diamond, mid/low 80s.

As for being a tough grader, I approached this like test scores at a University level.  I'd was fuckin ecstatic with anything above 80 on a Uni-level test/exam/essay.  That's kinda the line of thinking I was going with, thus only four above a 90%

Dude, other than those couple of whiffs you sent (and CHVRCHES was an enjoyable enough song), you sent exactly the kind of tunes I had envisioned.  Excellent stuff.

I think you should give The Noose another shot. There's so much atmosphere and the melodies are beautiful.

Roger that.  Will do so, but out of context with the roulette, and the competition.  Some of the songs I ranked low in my first couple of roulettes (Zydar and nekov know what I'm talkin 'bout), aged VERY well, and in the long run I felt real bad about scoring them low.

Chad, thanks for sharing the %'s. But DAMN that is some tough grading!

And you guys reckon I am a tough marker  ;D

Of course the two guys that hand out 8s and 9s like it's candy on October 31st think I'm a tough grader!  What?  You two think you're Magna Cum Laude with a PhD in music sharing??   :lol

That's why I like the stack rank method (as frustrating as it is sometimes)... forces a wider deviation in scores, and the opportunity to climb the standings - like Zook did.  One more round, and he might've been in the finals on the pace he was going.

And many thanks for the graciousness boys.  You are all scholars and gentlemen - musically speaking of course.

I think the scoring was quite fair and on point and don't think it was tough at all, but that's just me.

I wasn't implying anything wrong with the rankings...............just that people seem to think I am hard to please and Chad's were a bit tougher. I also think sometimes people seem to see a 8/10 as much better than say a 78/100.

If you look at the ratings above (and round up + convert to score out of ten ) almost everyone had a majority of their submissions >75% which would equate to an 8/10 in my roulette.   So everyone is handing out 8's like candy  :P
