Time for Round 4.

Rules:

• Each round will consist of four match-ups between Nightwish albums.
• The order in which the albums will face each other was determined by random.org. Every album will face each other once.
• Every person has four votes to place in the poll: one for each match-up. Vote for the album you'd like to see win its respective match. Don't vote for both albums in the match-up. If you can't decide between two albums, better don't vote in this match-up at all.
• The match-ups are separated by "Next Match Below" options — please don't vote for them.
• The ties are allowed. No tiebreakers.
• Each round will last 48 hours.

Once - EFMB was the most difficult one in this round, and probably the most difficult one in the whole league for me. I went with Once, but any other day I might've went with EFMB.

Middle two were tough, but in both cases the album I went for is more consistent. WM and EFMB each have a couple of songs that I don't find to be that great, while the other two are very strong throughout.

AFF over CC? A rough debut over a career-defining masterpiece? I can't see that one at all. Interesting.

Musical tastes are the wondrous thing. When I see someone picking AFF over CC, the first question I want to ask is "do you even Nightwish?" or something like that.

But you're voting Lagoon in the parallel survivor, so we're good.

Oh yeah. I mean, not to take anything away from the last four albums, which are a spectacular run that most bands would be jealous of, but it begins and ends with Century Child.

I didn't get that "do you even Nightwish?".. But yeah, I don't understand the huge love for this album.. Bless the Child, Slaying the Dreamer and Ocean Soul are really good songs, but the rest is pretty average or bad.. Also, I never liked Marco's vocals, and I obviously love the symphonic power metal of the first three albums.. 

Let me compare it with the love I know the vast majority has for I&W, Awake, SFAM and 6DoIT in the case of DT.. Another "controversial" opinion I have about Nightwish: their worst album is definitely Imaginaerum.. You can deduct my displeasure with the results so far..

AFF is better than SDOIT.



But seriously, CC is great top to bottom. Great that you understand the greatness that is Ocean Soul, but then there's also The End of All Hope, Dead to the World, Ever Dream, Forever Yours, Feel For You and especially Beauty of the Beast.

Bless the Child and Slaying the Dreamer are my least favourite songs from CC. Oh well.
