Periphery Survivor - Periphery - Final Round
« on: August 16, 2015, 11:51:29 AM »
Round 11 results:

Light - 2
Icarus Lives! - 4
Racecar - 1

Current results:
1.
2.

3. Icarus Lives!
4. Letter Experiment

5. Jetpacks Was Yes!
6. All New Materials
7. Ow My Feelings
8. Zyglrox
9. Buttersnips
10. Insomnia
11. Totla Mad
12. The Walk
13. Passenger

Icarus Has Died! and joins Letter Experiment in the consolations. This leaves us with a pretty disappointing top two. Both Light and Racecar head straight to the finals.

Racecar

This is a great top 2. On this album, Light is my #3 and Racecar my #1.

Whatever the outcome, the next survivor will be Icarus EP. I've been thinking about including Jetpacks Was Yes! (v2.0) since it's pretty different from the original song (the added part before the breakdown at the end starts is bloody amazing).

The line-up would be:
New Groove
Frak the Gods
Jetpacks Was Yes! (v2.0)
Captain On
Eureka

Yeah, JWY v2.0 deserves to be on there as the vastly superior version of that song.

Light to dark dark to Light
people on this board are actual music fans who developed taste in music and not casual listeners who are following current fashion trends and listening to only current commercial hits.

Wow, 3 to 3, unexpected. I guess if a non-DTF person will decide this then Light will probably win.

Seems we don't have to deal with a tie so far. Let's hope it stays this way.  :lol

Another DT comparison, this is like Octavarium losing to The Root of All Evil. TRoAE is a great song, but there's just no way this is supposes to happen.

If we were talking about Omega losing to The Bad Thing, then I could see the Octavarium comparison.
Racecar is a good song, but it's more like Outcry vs. On the Backs Of Angels for me.

Also, yay. 1000th post!

this is funny to me because TROAE is a top 5 DT song to me and Octavarium isn't  :rollin
