Periphery Survivor - Periphery - Round 11
« on: August 15, 2015, 11:36:17 AM »
Round 10 results:

Letter Experiment - 4
Light - 2
Icarus Lives! - 3

Current results:
1.
2.

3.
4. Letter Experiment

5. Jetpacks Was Yes!
6. All New Materials
7. Ow My Feelings
8. Zyglrox
9. Buttersnips
10. Insomnia
11. Totla Mad
12. The Walk
13. Passenger

Letter Experiment barely beats Icarus Lives! and is the first song to head into consolations! It has no place being there when Jetpacks is out... but oh well.

Light

I think this might very well be the round that Light get's eliminated, woohoooo
people on this board are actual music fans who developed taste in music and not casual listeners who are following current fashion trends and listening to only current commercial hits.

Guess this means Racecar will win the survivor. It has no bussiness in the top two but oh well.

It has all the business in the top 2. It's a brilliant track, one which they have still not topped, although they came real close with Stranger Things.

i always feel like prog fans rate songs on how much good stuff there is, not how consistent songs are
people are like "OMG THIS 15 MINUTE SONG IS SO GOOD" and i'm like "yeah it has more than 3 minutes of good stuff, but there's a lot that feels like filler to me and Icarus Lives is just consistently amazing from start to finish, not a single weak moment, so it's the better song"

This. Applies to a lot of DT songs too.          Illumination Theory *cough cough*
