St. Anger re-recorded
« on: July 25, 2015, 04:34:02 PM »
Apparently some die hard fans have covered/re-recorded Metallica's St. Anger. If you ask me, I think they improved it! Finally getting a good snare sound instead of that pathetic attempt on the original is probably why, though.  :tup

Listen here: https://youtu.be/lU-UI3_6HcM

The title track starts at 5:25. Grrrroovy!

This has been around a REALLY long time, and I'm a very big fan.  The sound is just amazing.

I only wish they hadn't edited out some major parts of some of the songs.  I would have preferred the arrangements to have been left as/is.

You can't polish a turd.
Only King could mis-spell a LETTER.
Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

Six months is a REALLY long time?

When I first heard it, I thought, cool, this will make a nice partner to the original, I'll download it and split it up shortly... which I've never done. I enjoy the original, so as much as this is cool, I guess I don't really need it.

It is an interesting listen though.

I honestly could have sworn that when I first saw this (which was just a few months ago) that it was dated from about 4 or 5 years ago.   *shrug*

In any event.    It is a very big sound quality improvement.
