______

As much as I love Élan and wish it would make the Finals or at least Consolations, I knew that won't happen, so I'm glad it finished somewhere in the middle.

Endless Forms Most Beautiful

Also, I don't know what's wrong with DoC, but Edema Ruh is at least Consolations material.
This first band is Soen very cool swingy jazz fusion kinda stuff.

Six great songs, four spots in consolations/finals. Yikes. My inclination is to vote for Edema Ruh at this point, but I really don't know. Might need to listen to the album again and then vote.

Trust me, I don't want to vote for it! It's a really good song. But so are the other five! I'm planning to listen to the album tonight after doing some fun roulette writeups.

Voted Weak Fantasy, but I'm having a really hard time picking a favourite here. All the songs left are solid to stellar, but no whole song completely blows me away. Some parts of TGSOE are absolutely amazing and would guarantee the first spot here, if it weren't for some of the samples in the second or third part that completely kill the flow ( I'm talking about the noises, not the narration).

Well, these are definitely the Top 6 on the album.  Hate to see the title track go, but I know it's gonna happen.  So, I'll break the ice.

Greatest Show On Earth.  If it was an 11 minute song, it would be top 2 on the album.  13 minutes of absolute waste.  I could tolerate it if the intro/outro took up 3-4 minutes, but 13!?!?!?

TGSOE is my next vote, so I'm with you guys. I think the intro is great though, it's the noises between second and third part that I dislike. Well, that, and the seashore-sounds-and-whatnot outro after the Dawkins narration about how we are lucky because we're going to die.

Narration is magnificent though. Really well done.

Alpenglow..

Yet, if it goes, I won't be voting for this survivor anymore.. The other five are equally good for my taste..

Nah, it's about as good as TGSOE, 4-5th place for me. Won't be sad to see it go.

Well, I listened to the album. I don't know that I got much clarity. I do know that the title track is beautiful and shouldn't die so soon. But I understand why.

My vote is unlikely to affect this round. I am, however, going to reluctantly vote for The Greatest Show On Earth. It's a very good song, but the long ending drags it down a bit. And when its competition is these five, there's no room for that kind of thing. So, unfortunately, I'll be voting for the epic, and, unfortunately, I suppose the title track will be leaving us.
