I need help

I am trying to research people's last thoughts before being sent to jail, or going to court for a crime they know they will probably lose, or before they are going to be executed for a song I am writing.
I am googling, but I can't find much.  Maybe I am looking up the wrong things.  but if you have any insight on this, or any resources you could give me, that would be great.

I think I remember reading a book review written about a man who interviewed people on death row the day before their scheduled execution.  I'm sure someone has written a book on it.  The other thing to look into would be APA scientific articles, which you might not have access to at your HS, but a university definately would.

Well I know that. but there may be some people with confidence that they will win the case, or they are looking on the brighter side of things.  Who knows.  All I know is that when i was reading the voices interview the other day.  JP said he researched schizophrenia and say the "Swear my skin is inside out".  That is my favorite line of the song, and I want something like that  to quote, or get ideas from people it actually happened/happening to.

hmm, i found quite a few of these last words.  but the thing is, the man isnt actually about to die.  he things he ight, because he is going on trial for murder, but he knows he didnt do it.
