Yes, it was a Woolworth's!  I didn't mention it by name because I didn't know who else might know it.

Super Chexx

On vacation a couple of years ago we fond this game in a hotel. It rocked! :metal :metal

I actually looked up how much they cost to buy when I got home. Managed to get a smaller, table top one instead.

TAC

Yeah, they are expensive. The Lovely Mrs TAC looked at buying one for the family for Christmas a couple of years ago.

My first record was Making Movies from Dire Straits. Before that I had only cassettes recorded from radio or the albums of friends. Never bought any album on cassette, always vinyl and then later on cd. We were living in the outskirts of Cologne and a ride into town by train was like 45 minutes, but there was (and still is) a really big record store, so it was always worth it.

Like Orbert I was an album guy. By the age of 18 I had roughly 150 albums but only three or four singles. Most of them financed by the odd job in the holidays and mowing lawns, washing cars and delivering papers.

I think by that point, I made my own Mix tapes. I wouldn't buy a compilation of stuff I already had.

Any of you guys have these Live Compilations?
I played the shit out of both.

I've got the Donington  one - my mate had the other. And the two Axe Attack albums

Stop at the counter after buying an album or two and grandma would treat to grilled cheese sandwiches! :metal

I just revived the Alice thread to say hat I watched Super Duper Alice Cooper today, which is absolutely stunning.

I got busted shoplifting in Woolworth's when I was like 10.  A pair of cheap sunglasses I think it was.....  I wasn't a very smart thief... :lol  Luckily, they let me go and didn't call my folks.

Win if you can, lose if you must, but always cheat.

If you don't know who coined that term, you're not fit to be in this thread.

Heh, this probably explains why he always played at the Bronco Bowl when he came to Dallas. He's exactly the sort of guy who might have bowled a few frames with fans after the gig.

In all fairness he played there because it was a kickass venue. His first gig back after it was demolished he sang it's praises and dedicated Falling off the Edge of the World to it.
