I keep getting AARP junk mail at home and kept throwing it out, than it dawned on me I turn 50 this year....now i'm reaching out to them for the discounts

Funny you say that, my legs we like gorillas in the late 80's and 90's but the hair on my legs are almost gone.  Old age crap I guess.

I suppose your right. I understand that (all joking aside) in addition to restaurant and grocery discounts there are some pretty good rates available for term life insurance for those who've never had it. You also get to have a say, albeit a very small portion, on the lobbying agenda for AARP.

Huh. Turns out that my comparatively young ass probably qualifies me for AARP, as well. I'm a CKD patient and I'm paying for Medicare parts A, B and D. Go figure. I'll just have to determine if I would save $16/yr on things I'd actually use.
