My oldest just started college

Middle one is a junior in high school

Youngest will be graduating middle school this year

3 teenage boys all with inflated egos and who think Dad doesn't have a clue, just when they think they are getting over I knock them down a few pegs

I've been suffering from back pain for about 5 years, I have several herniated discs around my neck .. it's not the hernia that causes the pain, though.. it's mainly fibromyalgia that's killing me... the pain starts from my neck and goes all the way down to my lower back... Sometimes it gets better but bitch keeps coming back... yes pun totally intended....

And I've got loads to do this time of the year...

Sorry to hear/read that Nem...I know a little bit about it, (work in a hospital) and seel a lot of fibromyalgia cases pass by. Hope you get good treatment.

Step mom has fibro, so I know how debilitating it can be.  Mrs. Jingle also has tons of ailments that have accumulated over the years.... constant hate of her own body, not liking the feel of her own skin.  So, while I can't relate directly, I surely sympathize.   

Other than that, I only wish I had a magic potion for you (everyone really).

I'm worried about my dad with his MS.  He fell and cracked two ribs.  We got him a cane but he is too stubborn to use it so I'm going to have to be the bully at his next doctors appointment.  His memory is also terrible which scares the hell out of me since he is only 66.

I'm worried about my dad with his MS.  He fell and cracked two ribs.  We got him a cane but he is too stubborn to use it so I'm going to have to be the bully at his next doctors appointment.  His memory is also terrible which scares the hell out of me since he is only 66.

Prayers for your dad, King. My mom is 78 and her memory is really bad. I try and have patience with her now. I used to get aggravated when she repeated things over and over again. I finally realized I was being a jerk and now I take it in stride.

Thanks you about my dad.  It hurts since my mom passed away over a 1 1/2 ago.  I hurt every time I see him thinking of mom and what he's going through,

I know exactly how you feel.  I'm trying to to be short tempered about it.  It just hurts that he asks the same questions minutes after and I can't have a real conversation with him anymore.  I love my dad and I just tell myself to enjoy every minute with him.  He's too damn young at 66 to go through this.

Thanks so much.  It breaks my heart that my mom just retired for 6 5 months before being diagnosed with lung cancer and they never had the time to enjoy retirement together.  now with my dad's MS and his memory loss is seems unfair that they worked so hard to be where he is right now.

The wife(60) and I(55) have 'sometimers'.  It is kind of scary to walk in a room and wonder what you came in for.

Speaking of old, one of my bucket list items is to see Dream Theater in concert.  I live in Nashville and pretty sure they have not been here, so looks like Atlanta is the likely place.

I hover between age groups and find myself relating to people with a age gap through media of their own times.
Like earlier when I found out Traci Lords is now 44 years old I imagined some peeps here would feel old when they hear about it, especially when you think of what her whole late 80's fiasco was about heh
