GOOD BAND NAMES HELP ME
« on: June 17, 2015, 04:56:25 AM »
Need a name for an acoustic duo, to play covers.

Give us a name.

Best one so far suggested is Ronnie James Duo, but I feel a lot of people wouldn't get that.

Haha that's a good one.  I was already in a band with a similar name, but.

Just watch a random space documentary. The stuff you get in that is priceless, and there's hundreds of them.
Oh wait, that's more appropriate for a metal band, an acoustic duo, hmm. Just make something 'funny' with the first letters of your first names. Or some random musical term: The Jukebox, The 45's, The Albums, The Theme's, The Back Covers, The Sound etc.

I always thought that it would be cool to take a duo or a trio and call it "The (insert name here) Quartet".  Or do the reverse and take five guys and call it "The (insert name here) Trio".

If you played Motorhead and Lenny Kravitz covers, I could recommend Lemmy Kravitz.

Presumably your debut album would be called "2"  :)

There's a Dutch cabaret trio called 'Trio the turbo twins', which sorta does that, but then two ways.

Yeah I was trying to think of something like that.  Like Ben Folds Five.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, I'll run some of them past the other chap.
