You'd think living in Central Texas for as long as I have that I would've seen at least one funnel cloud. Nope. There was, however, a precursor to several that hit North Austin back in... early spring of 1989. The evening before was the first and only time (so far) that I've seen the sky turn green. One of the weirder things I've seen.

It seems like I've been close to seeing a tornado many times over the last few years, especially during that crazy tornado outbreak a few years ago (spring of 2011?), but luckily have never encountered one yet.
