Second night was better than the first night from what I understand.  I saw the second show online and got major chills when they played Losing It (even knowing it was coming when the dropped Clockwork Angels) 33 years went into those 5 and a half minutes.

They should have closed out the set with it. Going right into Subdivisions like that was not cool. I got left behind and I'd imagine some others did too. I'd have been in tears if I was there and it's not even a huge favorite of mine, but that moment was more than just the music.  Alex and Geddy seemed to be having a blast jamming with Ben Mink like that.

There have been quite a few Rush live moments over the years and this one is pretty high on the list. I'd imagine that last LA show is going to another one.

As cool as it would have been to see them do this with the orchestra last time, this was the right moment. They got it so perfect this time.  Although they may sample the performance going forward, it won't come close to having Ben Mink live there last night.

Can't wait for next week.

Sitting in a hotel room with Chad and my brother. Painted Montreal tonight and tomorrow the Rush show.  So stocked.

It was supposed to get B, which is what I want, but the 2nd Toronto show may have screwed things up a bit. We'll know more tonight after Montreal.

If the rotation did get fucked up, and they do A tonight, I'm going to be pissed. I'll go from having two B shows and two C shows to two C shows and two A shows. The best scenario changed to the worst scenario. If that's the case I'll either be ditching Newark for MSG, or adding a fifth show.

Sorry Nick.  It was setlist A.

Great show.  The stage set up was incredible,  the guys were on and great to hear so many special songs.

Well, thankfully, I might have fucked up my initial counting months back. Seems I'll get B in Phoenix and C in Vegas. That said, just to be sure, I'll likely hit MSG. You can't have too much Rush, right?

Losing It was played for the first time ever tonight in Toronto, with guest star Ben Mink.

Kind of expected, but awesome nevertheless! :hefdaddy

I wish they would've played The Camera Eye instead of Red Barchetta, 'cause the only official live recording we have of TCE is on Time Machine, but maybe that one and The Wreckers will appear as bonus tracks from other shows.

Hello Boston!!

Started in Columbus on June 8th. 7 shows down, and four more to go before we head on back home. Having a fucking blast. But there is a feeling of near desperation to soak it all in because the end is near.   :metal

Temp were you in Montreal?  We drove from NH to see them.  I've got to say that stadium had good acoustics for being so damn large.

I'll be at the Philly show this Thursday, tailgating beforehand (weather permitting), if anybody in attendance wants to stop by and say hi.

That. Was. Incredible.

It was so cool being with my best friend who didn't know the set. I really wish I could hold off from knowing like that.

The first set was good, nothing spectacular or out of this world, but the changes on stage were really cool to watch. But that 2nd set... holy god. The first three songs thankfully seemed to fly by (night), and then the real fun began. I will say it seemed they were a little off during Hemispheres, but otherwise they nailed all the old material. Can't believe how aggressively Geddy went after some of the material.

Yeah, it's amazing how great Geddy is sounding (tuned down or not) for that second set.  When I saw them last week, I thought that maybe he was saving it just for the DVD recorded shows, but nope... he was nailing all the same notes in Montreal.

I never get hangovers anymore. Chad saw in Montreal.  I drank many high % beers and I felt good every morning.  Just hungry.

Jacob's Ladder was so damn awesome live.  So glad they played that.  I think it's been since the early 80's they've played that live.

agree with all of the above, that was an incredible show.  i feel so fortunate to have been able to see the three most recent tours, each of which having something special or unique about the set, and giving a wide variety of songs.  If i never see Rush again this will be the perfect swan song for them, tho i do hope they continue to play occasionally  :hefdaddy :hefdaddy

The deevolution of the stage was great, but the same thing happened with the lighting, as well. I think I found that more interesting. As I probably said earlier, that's the best stage lighting I've seen since 95 and they used it perfectly. From a conceptual standpoint that show was unique and quite seriously bad ass.

Two shows in my area in the next few days.  Prudential Center in Newark NJ on Saturday, and at MSG in NY City on Monday.  I've been waffling about getting tickets while the prices go up and up.  I will likely not be able to go to the Saturday show, and the Monday show tickets are $220 each now..

The show I'm going to isn't until the last weekend in July.  Good to see posts saying Geddy is bringing his A game voice.  Really looking forward to that.  His singing is pivotal in the success of each of their shows.  The guy does so much and just keeps doing it.  Not to take anything away from Alex and Neil.  Those guys are beyond great, but I believe that Geddy Lee is probably the most talented and gifted musician I have ever seen or heard about.

Damn, I love this band.
